NBA fans are praying for former guard Nate Robinson, who is literally fighting for his life right now.

Robinson, a three-time Slam Dunk champion who was known for his above-the-rim play, is in need of a kidney transplant and has revealed that he will die if he doesn’t get one soon enough.

The 40-year-old spoke to Men’s Health recently, lamenting over the situation.

“I gotta stick around,” he said. “I want to stay alive for the next 40 years: be a grandpa, see my kids’ kids, take them to the gym, tell them the stories of when I was in the NBA around ’Bron and Kob’ and all these guys. I gotta fight for it.”

While he’s desperate to get a new kidney, Robinson admitted he isn’t sure he’s ready for someone to risk their own life to save his.

“It’s scary. Because we both got to go under the knife, and a lot of people don’t make it. I would hate for somebody to give me that kidney and die to go through this. That would hurt me so much. For someone to have to die for me to live.” he added. “I don’t know if I’m ready for it. In my dreams, my family members give me a kidney, and they all ended up passing away. That kind of [expletive] with me.”

Fans Are Feeling It For Nate Robinson

Robinson was a fan favorite during his playing days. As such, social media users are afraid for him.

“Someone get this man a kidney,” one wrote.

“There’s a donor list for a reason. Just because he’s a famous figure doesn’t give him right to cut the line. I wish Nate the best and I do hope he can find one soon!” another said.

“Someone please give this man a kidney,” a third remarked.

“Prayers up for Nate Robinson man,” another comment read.

“Find the homie a donor!!!!” another read. “Him and everyone else in need.  🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨”

Robinson previously revealed he spends four hours a day three times a week on treatment, which is what’s keeping him alive.

We’re with everyone in hoping he gets that transplant.

All the best, Nate.

Colorado players have spoken out in defense of head coach Deion Sanders following reports of the former cornerback forcing his athletes to attend a concert where his son Shedeur was performing.

Athlon Sports recently reported that multiple players left the program after being told they would be cut if they didn’t attend the event.

The story sounded too wild to be true at the time, and members of the team, including Shedeur himself, have branded it as false.

The CU quarterback dismissed the report in a video shared to social media by his brother, Deion Sanders Jr., claiming they didn’t even know he would be opening the concert.

“Hey man, that’s crazy because we didn’t even know I was going to perform,” he said. “How we decide five minutes (Before), but dad had already predetermined? Dad didn’t even know we we’re gonna perform.”

Several other players were asked about this, and many of them said they didn’t attend or that attendance wasn’t mandatory.
