Steph Curry, the standout guard for the Golden State Warriors, has listed his top five players of all time, including a former colleague and potential fiercest opponent.
Curry’s new Audible podcast, “Heat Check with Stephen and Dell Curry,” was released on Thursday alongside his father, Dell Curry. According to the news release from Tuesday, they are pulling back the curtain on their family’s journey, told through the lens of a father and son, while talking about the most prominent names throughout NBA history.
The father-son team, who is quite skilled, listed the best five players from each of their respective eras in Episode 1. Steph Curry went first. Since being selected in the 2009 draft, he has played for 15 seasons and counting. Star forwards LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Kawhi Leonard of the Lakers, Suns, and Clippers were mentioned.
Steph Curry said: “I’mma go, basically, from 2009 to right now. We’ve got Bron, KD, Kawhi. I know every time you do this you’re gonna miss somebody and people will say, ‘Oh my God, he left him off the list? What was he thinking? This guy doesn’t know basketball.’”
He added: “I got, obviously, myself. There’s like a group of four I’m picking from right now. … I’m gonna say, James.”
Among the top offensive players in the NBA over the last 15 years are all five of Steph Curry’s selections. Still, all four of his first-round picks—including him—saw tremendous success in the playoffs.

Steph Curry Opens Up on the Toughest Rejections From His Top 5 Players of All Time
Steph Curry listed three of the most challenging snubs from his choice of the best five players of his era. Among them are Kyrie Irving, Anthony Davis, and his longtime comrade Klay Thompson from the Dallas Mavericks and Lakers.
Curry said: “I had, like, Kyrie, AD, my guys, Klay, I can keep going. Everytime you do this, you’re going to miss somebody.”
Together, Irving and Thompson are regarded as the best offensive players in the NBA during the last 15 years, with Thompson standing as an all-time great shooter. On the other hand, Davis has a lengthy history of being recognized as a top two-way big man. Steph Curry also opened up about teaming up with James.
Together, the three have won six championships, demonstrating their success in the competition. All three players, meanwhile, only did so as backup or tertiary choices. Therefore, it would be hard to argue against Curry’s top five selections and include any of them.
