Nobody could’ve guessed that Reed Sheppard would’ve gone in the top 3 of the NBA Draft, but that is precisely what happened.

The former Kentucky Wildcat was selected No. 3 overall by the Houston Rockets on Wednesday.

Reed Sheppard wasn’t alone on this night. He showed up in Brooklyn with not only his parents but also his girlfriend, Brailey Dizney.

In a photo shared on social media, the couple could be seen sporting matching Rockets hats after his selection.

Brailey Dizney is also going viral after fans took a look at her Instagram and noticed she posted a spicy bikini picture last week. Dizney was sporting an aqua color bikini as she took an adorable selfie.

With his selection, Reed Sheppard became the first Eastern Kentucky native to be drafted into the NBA since Todd May was selected in 1987 by the San Antonio Spurs in the fourth round, according to WYMT.com.

With his selection, he became Kentucky’s highest draft pick since Karl-Anthony Towns went No. 1 overall in 2015.

In his lone season as a Kentucky Wildcat, Sheppard averaged 12.5 points, 4.5 assists, 2.5 steals, and led the nation in three-point shooting at 53.1%.

Reed Sheppard Is Known For Stephen Curry Range, But He Was A Force On Both Ends

Reed Sheppard was selected by the Houston Rockets as the No. 3 pick in the 2024 NBA draft, and what they got was a dangerous player on both ends.

Sheppard joined Kentucky as the fifth-highest-rated player in its 2023 freshman class. He showed his skills immediately, earning several national Freshman of the Year honors by the end of last season.

He can score the ball from anywhere, whether it’s three-pointers, floaters, or pulling up in transition. He also performs well on defense and fights for rebounds.

ESPN Analyst’s Comparison Between Spurs Draft Pick Stephon Castle & One NBA Star Has Everyone Divided on Social Media

What’s better than one Jrue Holiday? Two Holidays, of course. Thankfully, the league is getting another copy of him, but not at the Celtics. Stephon Castle, the Spurs’ fourth-round pick, is being dubbed the new and improved version of Jrue Holiday, and it can only be good news for the San Antonio faithful.

According to ESPN’s Jay Bilas, Castle could be a “bigger Jrue Holiday.” During the live broadcast, Bilas said this about the Spurs rookie. Castle was already a top prospect coming into the draft, and the comparison with Holiday is certainly a big achievement on day one.

After an unsuccessful season, the Spurs realized they needed to work on their defensive game to achieve better results. Castle, one of the most skillful UConn guards, could help the franchise achieve its goals.

Castle failed to impress with his shooting, but in his college year, the 19-year-old showed improvement. On the flip side, with his marvelous defense, he can guard the rim well alongside the ROTY Victor Wembanyama. Hopefully, the Silver and Black franchise will be able to franchise their 22-60 record in the following season, with both of them displaying their masterclass on the hardwood.
