Kristaps Porzingis has had a telling impact on the NBA Finals and is one of the reasons the Boston Celtics are up 2-0 against the Dallas Mavericks.

With the Latvian star just two wins away from his first NBA title, his girlfriend has gone viral online.

Porzingis is known to be in a relationship with Laura Vizla, who also hails from his native country of Latvia. Laura, born on February 2, 1998, attended a musical academy in Riga as she was deeply interested in arts and dance. She also took gymnastics classes in her younger days.

Laura went on to work as a cheerleader for the VTB United League in Europe.

There is a lot more to Laura than cheerleading, however. She has also made forays into the entertainment industry, debuting as an actor in the Latvian film JVP Popiela, which somehow had a budget of $64.

Laura dabbles in modeling too, working for several top brands, including cosmetics company Jo Malone and European perfume brand Creme De La Creme Haute Parfumerie.

Kristaps Porzingis Gives Fans An Injury Scare Ahead Of Game 3

Meanwhile, Kristaps Porzingis has been ruled as day-to-day, and it’s feared he could miss Game 3 this Wednesday after being diagnosed with a rare tendon injury in his left leg.

The 28-year-old sustained a dislocation of the posterior tibialis tendon during the second half of Game 2 on Sunday. Head coach Joe Mazulla reckons the injury is severe, telling reporters as much on Tuesday.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, there is nothing to suggest that the Celtics’ medical staff will keep him out if he feels he can play.

Porzingis has said he will do all he can to be available.

Why Did Dan Hurley Leave Lakers Red-Faced After Turning Down $70 Million Bumper Contract

The LA Lakers are desperately planning to rebuild the team and, for that, the most important task is to find a replacement for their former head coach Darvin Ham, whom they fired after the team’s exit from the first-round playoffs. After being linked up with potential candidates in the last couple of weeks, the one name that recently popped up was of NCAA Men’s basketball coach Dan Hurley, however, he turned down the franchise’s massive offer.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Lakers offered the UConn coach a six-year contract worth $70 million, but Hurley declined it because he desired to pursue a third consecutive NCAA championship title with the Huskies.

Had the 51-year-old accepted the offer, he would have been among the top six highest-paid coaches in the league.

Through a statement, Hurley conveyed that he wishes to continue the success he has been experiencing on the NCAA stage despite receiving the Lakers’ grand contract.

The Lakers faced a major backlash this season because of Darvin Ham’s coaching tactics and for failing to perform as a cohesive team. They were thoroughly riding on the shoulders of LeBron James and Anthony Davis, so their absence highlighted the team’s weaknesses. The franchise has a few candidates who can bring them back on track.
