Brittany Mahomes says 'goodbye' to Patrick ahead of Chiefs camp with a surprising gesture

The news that Brittany and Patrick Mahomes are expecting another child together has taken the sports world by storm, with many well-wishers offering their congratulations to the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback and his wife.

Brittany and Patrick are already raising two children: three-year-old daughter Sterling and one-year-old son Patrick III — better known as Bronze. Their announcement of “round three,” sometime in 2025, has put fans into a frenzy — and the occasion has led to Brittany assigning Patrick a new nickname.

Patrick: QB, champion, and “best dada”

In new videos posted on Instagram Stories, Patrick is seen playing with Bronze and Sterling at a water park, enjoying the last days of summer before the start of Chiefs training camp. The videos, posted on Brittany’s Instagram, are captioned with what is ostensibly Patrick’s sweet new nickname: “best dada.”

Brittany’s bio on Instagram begins with the word “mama,” so it makes sense that Patrick would have a similar identifier. It shows how tight the couple is amid all their other commitments — their children, and their parenting, always come first, even when the pair steps out to hang with Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift.

The Chiefs’ first training camp open practice takes place on July 21, from the campus of Missouri Western State University. The camp runs through Aug. 15, and Kansas City — led by two-time NFL MVP Mahomes at quarterback — will look to get in some key offseason preparation ahead of what could be a historic season.
