Former NFL star Terrell Davis was handcuffed and taken off a flight after an incident with a flight attendant this past weekend.

Davis and his family were on a United Airlines flight from Denver to Orange County on Saturday when things went left. He has revealed he was approached by FBI agents and placed in handcuffs as soon as the plane touched down in California.

The former Denver Broncos star shared a post to Instagram in which he said he tapped a flight attendant on the arm after his son asked for a cup of ice and was either ignored or wasn’t heard. The attendant is said to have snapped and shouted, “Don’t hit me” before leaving the area.

Davis claimed to have had no further interaction with the attendant during the flight; however, six agents, including FBI personnel, came aboard after the plane landed and immediately placed him in handcuffs.

“I was then removed from the flight while being recorded by multiple passengers as I was paraded off of the plane in handcuffs by the officers,” he explained.

Terrell Davis Reveals He Has Been Cleared Of Any Wrongdoing

The former running back noted he was cleared of wrongdoing shortly after and that the agents “profusely apologized,” even offering support for him and his family. He is now seeking an explanation from United Airlines.

“These lies and the ensuing events have the capacity to tarnish the reputation I have spent decades building,” the Hall of Famer wrote, “and this person should not be able to do this again to anyone in the future.”

TMZ claims to have received word from the FBI that agents did respond to a report of an in-flight incident at the John Wayne Airport and detained an individual for questioning but did not name Terrell Davis.

They said the person “was cooperative with law enforcement and was released to continue his travels.”

Davis added in his post that his family is traumatized after watching him get handcuffed by law enforcement. It appears he’s considering a lawsuit.

REPORT: Brett Favre’s Defamation Lawsuit Against Shannon Sharpe Takes A Strange Twist

Former NFL quarterback Brett Favre has refused to quit in his effort to win a defamation lawsuit against fellow football legend and Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe.

Last year, Brett Fave filed a defamation lawsuit against Shannon Sharpe and sports personality Pat McAfee following comments they made about his welfare case in Mississippi.

Sharpe stated on an episode of “Undisputed” with Skip Bayless that Favre “stole money from people that really needed that money.” On his shown, McAfee called Favre a “thief” and stated that he stole “from poor people in Mississippi.”

In Sept. 2022, it was reported that Favre received millions of dollars in welfare money from the state of Mississippi to help fund a volleyball stadium at the University of Southern Mississippi, his alma mater. Favre’s daughter, Breleigh, also played volleyball at the school.

Brett Favre later withdrew his lawsuit against McAfee. In October, a judge dismissed his lawsuit against the three-time Super Bowl champion. Per the Associated Press, Favre is now seeking a reinstatement of his lawsuit against Sharpe:

“Lawyers for retired NFL quarterback Brett Favre asked a federal appeals court Tuesday to revive a defamation lawsuit Favre filed against a fellow Pro Football Hall of Fame member, former tight end Shannon Sharpe, amid the backdrop of a Mississippi welfare scandal that is one of the state’s largest public corruption cases.

Favre’s lawyer, Amit Vora, told three 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals judges in New Orleans that the lawsuit should be revived, arguing that Sharpe accused Favre, who has not been charged with a crime, of theft.”

Per the Associated Press, there’s no timeline on when the panel will make a decision.

Favre and Sharpe were among the NFL’s top players of the 90s and early 2000s. The former won three straight league MVP awards from 1995 to ’97 and retired as the all-time passing yards and touchdowns leader, though Peyton Manning, Drew Brees and Tom Brady later surpassed him.

An eight-time Pro Bowler, Sharpe led the Denver Broncos to consecutive Super Bowl titles in 1997 and ’98, before winning a third ring with the Baltimore Ravens in the 2000 season. He was also named to the 1990s All-Decade Team.

Brett Favre & Shannon Sharpe Squared Off In Super Bowl 32

Favre’s Packers met Sharpe’s Broncos in Super Bowl 32, which Denver won 31-24 in what would be the quarterback’s final big game appearance.

Widely regarded as one of the best Super Bowls ever, the Broncos finally reached the mountaintop after John Elway lost his first three SB appearances. Denver’s stout D and Terrell Davis’ heroic performance (three rushing scores) secured the franchise’s first Lombardi Trophy.
