His wife, reporter Jennifer Gould, confirmed the news to TMZ on Wednesday.

She said Mark, 67, is still hospitalized but is “on the road to recovery,” joking around, and in “good spirits.”

“My husband Mark Kriski is a strong man… and looks forward to returning to KTLA,” the true crime correspondent added on X, formerly Twitter.

“Mark Kriski & I are extremely grateful by the outpouring of love, thoughts & prayers.

“Mark is a fighter & will overcome this. A special shout-out to our KTLA family you’ve shown up in droves!

“Mark can’t wait to be back on air: STAY TUNED,” the former KTLA morning news reporter concluded.

KTLA announced Mark’s hospitalization on air on Wednesday and later gave fans an update on X.

“Our friend and colleague Mark Kriski is recovering after suffering a mild stroke earlier this week,” the show’s official account posted.

“He is getting the best medical care and looks forward to being back with the team soon.

“Mark checked in with us earlier on Wednesday and we’re happy to report that he’s in good spirits.

“He also wanted to thank everyone who has reached out. All of us at KTLA are thinking of Mark and his family at this time and look forward to seeing him soon.”

Mark and Jennifer began dating in 2009 after meeting on KTLA when she started out as a morning reporter.

In April, she paid tribute to the anniversary of their first date with a throwback photo of them in the studio.

“We met at KTLA… I had been at the station for 6 weeks… But, it was my first time reporting on the morning show when Mark Kriski 1st saw me,” Jennifer wrote on Instagram.

“My assignment: A huge tree that fell across a major roadway creating a traffic nightmare!

“I compared my height (5’9”) to one of the tree branches…
And hubby was instantly smitten. We went on our 1st date a few weeks later….

“It was APRIL 3RD… and, we’ve been together ever since. From fallen trees to falling in love! 15 years TO THE DAY… and counting.”

CAREER HISTORY

Mark, who is from Montreal, Canada, began his career on radio before becoming a reporter on Canada’s Weather Channel, according to his website.

He became the KTLA Morning Show weatherman for its launch in 1991 and usually covers the morning forecasts from 7 to 11 am.

Mark has earned nine Emmy Awards and an Associated Press Radio–Television Award.

His stroke comes just weeks after KTLA’s entertainment reporter Sam Rubin died aged 64.

Sam suffered a heart attack after doing his regular Hollywood news segment on May 10.

He was rushed to an LA hospital from his home, where he went into full cardiac arrest.
