Basketball fans were thrilled to witness the emergence of a rivalry between Angel Reese of the Chicago Sky and Caitlin Clark of the Indiana Fever this season. However, another Sky player and the 2024 No. 1 overall choice are creating their own rivalry.

Following the viral social media argument with Caitlin Clark, Chennedy Carter of Chicago chose not to comment on what transpired.

“I ain’t answering no Caitlin Clark questions.”

“That’s enough. We’re good,” head coach Teresa Weatherspoon stated to the reporter.

Social media did not like it:

Carter’s foul became the emblem for two broader stories that emerged quickly around WNBA discourse: first, that older players “hate” Clark, and second, that by not calling more fouls, the league is effectively enabling those players to treat the rookie with disrespect.

As for the game, Reese finished with eight points and 13 rebounds while Clark had 11 points, eight rebounds and six assists Saturday as the Indiana Fever won their first home game of the season, 71-70, over the Chicago Sky, per ESPN.com.

Guard Caitlin Clark of the Indiana Fever was involved in an on-court altercation on Saturday in which Chicago Sky guard Chennedy Carter threw her to the ground quite forcefully. Following the game, Carter declined to comment on the event, but Clark insisted that the foul wasn’t a basketball play.

Many began to wonder why Carter would not respond to inquiries, which strengthened the rumor that players in the league weren’t big fans of Clark. Since her debut, the guard has drawn a lot of criticism, making it a significant topic of conversation these days. Carter went above and beyond what many thought was the last of it until the teams reconvened.

She took to Threads and completely ripped the skill set of Clark.

“Beside three-point shooting, what does she bring to the table, man.”

REPORT: San Francisco 49ers Are Signing Veteran Quarterback-Turned-Tight End To Bolster Their Offense

The San Francisco 49ers are reportedly close to signing a former Washington Commanders star tight end to bolster their depth on offense.

According to a report from NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, the San Francisco 49ers are in the midst of “finalizing a deal with” ex-Commanders tight end Logan Thomas, who was released in a cap-saving move earlier this offseason.

Thomas will join a San Francisco offense that isn’t short of star power, including offensive tackle Trent Williams, running back Christian McCaffrey, wide receivers Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk, quarterback Brock Purdy and tight end George Kittle.

A fourth-round pick of the Arizona Cardinals in 2014, Thomas began his career as a quarterback, seeing limited action in two games as a rookie. After bouncing around several teams’ practice squads, he secured a spot on the Buffalo Bills as a tight end, playing in 12 games during the 2017 season.

Thomas really made a name for himself when he had a career year with Washington in 2020 by racking up 72 receptions for 670 yards and six touchdowns.

Unfortunately, injuries limited Thomas to 20 total game appearances over the 2021 and 2022 seasons. Last season, he finished with 55 receptions) 496 yards and four receiving touchdowns.

Now, Logan Thomas gets the chance to pursue a Super Bowl as he tries to help the San Francisco 49ers get over last season’s devastating big game loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
