The 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France, has served as a scouting platform for football fans, who have seen a handful of female rugby players they want NFL teams to sign.

Team USA’s Ilona Maher is one such player, having gone viral after a brutal truck during a game against Japan on the weekend. Two players from the Ireland Olympic team have since joined her as prospects fans would love to have in the NFL.

The players are trending online after combining to pull off an astonishing catch against Great Britain, with one hoisting the other up to make the catch and then pulling her back down before she makes a bad landing.

The catcher was at risk of her pants coming off, too, but everything worked out well. Check it out in the video below:

“Chargers can use her,” one fan observed.

“This the best catch of all time,” another declared.

“Sign both of them!!” someone urged.

“Both of them. The girl that caught her and kept her from falling on her head,” a comment read.

“The one that picked her up, right? Cuz that’s the most impressive s*** I’ve ever seen lol. Held onto her like a small child 😂😂,” a user joked.

“New hailmary meta for NFL,” someone else pointed out.

“Who had the better catch? The one catching the ball or the one catching the person catching the ball?” another fan asked.

“Is there a rule stopping this from happening in the NFL?” asked another.

Olympic Games Catch Isn’t Foreign To Rugby

While NFL fans aren’t used to seeing such receptions in football, players hoisting each other to make catches is pretty commonplace in rugby.

Still, this play from the Olympic Games was impressive because of how badly it could have turned out if the player at the bottom wasn’t strong enough to pull her teammate back down.

Kudos to her.
