It’s well-known by now just how little rest and downtime NFL coaches actually get, but it didn’t stop New York Giants HC Brian Daboll from putting the work in the gym this offseason.

Brian Daboll is entering his third season as head coach of Big Blue. One year after leading New York to a surprise 9-7-1 record and playoff appearance, Daboll’s Giants finished a disappointing 6-11 in a year marred by injuries to key players.

As the Giants look to bounce back from a forgettable year, coach Daboll has also spent ample time getting himself in better shape. Daboll and his wife, Beth, attended the “Giants 100” event celebrating a full century of New York Giants football.

And folks noticed a remarkable body transformation for the Dabolls:

The 49-year-old Brian Daboll was hired by the Giants following an impressive four-year tenure as offensive coordinator of the Buffalo Bills. Daboll’s work in helping Josh Allen emerge as a top-five QB led to his first head coaching position.

Long before he arrived with the Giants, Daboll was a longtime New England Patriots assistant on staff for the franchise’s first five Super Bowl championship-winning seasons. He also won a national championship with Nick Saban’s Alabama Crimson Tide in 2017, serving as the OC and tight ends coach.

Daboll was also previously the New York Jets’ quarterback coach and the offensive coordinator for the Miami Dolphins, Cleveland Browns and Kansas City Chiefs.

Brian Daboll & Giants Open 2024 vs. Vikings

The Giants will welcome the new-look Minnesota Vikings to kick off their season at MetLife Stadium on Sept. 8.

Minnesota moved on from Pro Bow QB Kirk Cousins (signed with the Atlanta Falcons) and signed Sam Darnold as a bridge signal-caller to rookie JJ McCarthy, who was drafted 10th overall.

This contest will also mark the highly-anticipated NFL debut for Giants rookie wideout Malik Nabers, the No. 6 selection of this year’s draft.
