Jacksonville-born rapper Julio Foolio has been killed outside a Holiday Inn while celebrating turning 26 – just months after being shot in the leg and requiring treatment

Jacksonville rapper Foolio has been shot and killed in an incident at his 26th birthday party, his attorney Lewis Fusco confirmed.

The hip-hop community has been left reeling after the news, with Foolio dying in Tampa, Florida on Sunday (June 23). Based on his Instagram Stories, he was celebrating turning 26 with a pool party while staying at a local Airbnb – but cops arrived on the scene to shut things down.

The party moved to another location, with reports claiming this was a Holiday Inn – where the alleged shooting Click took place. One person was killed and three others injured.

Another fan said: “It’s unfortunate that Foolio passed away and we send our condolences to his friends and family.” As another echoed: “I actually can’t believe Foolio has died.. obviously can believe it after everything but I literally watched his ig story a few hours ago.. can’t even really say he was set up as he broadcasted his location and with like 20 people.”

Another echoed: “RIP Foolio!” as others told him to “rest in power” and someone else said: “Foolio’s death is sad but not shocked.”

One police officer on the scene told WFLA Now: “What we have learned […] is that two cars were shot at, four people were shot in total as a result of this. Three of them were transported to hospitals and one was pronounced deceased here on the scene.

“We are working to learn what led up to the shooting, motive… As far as the people who are at local hospitals, we are working to get an update on their condition.”
