His sister Kayli previously appealed for help on Facebook saying he had been missing for two weeks after telling her he was attending the festival in the town of Sitges.

She claimed texts and calls were not going through to his cell phone and a report had been filed with the US Embassy as police started to investigate his disappearance.

The U.S. Sun can reveal Ryan was allegedly spotted at a hostel in recent days amid a suspected mental health crisis, while his wallet, phone, and passport have all been stolen.

His aunt, Jackie Herman, has launched a fundraiser on GoFundMe to pay for the expense of his mom Kim to travel to Spain to try and locate him and bring him home.

Jackie wrote, “Ryan left for Barcelona Spain April 10th to pursue his love for teaching abroad.

“Ryan struggles with mental health issues and is in crisis right now.

“He has been able to balance things and lead a productive life thus far, despite his struggles.

“He has been missing for almost two weeks, my sister is working with detectives in her hometown in Texas, as well as the US Embassy in Spain.

He was not looking well and in crisis

“Due to my niece’s outreach on social media and the awesome community in Spain, a woman at a hostel recognized his picture, we received word last night that he has been seen and is alive.

“He was not looking well and in crisis. His wallet, phone, passport have all been stolen.

“He has been sleeping in the lobby of hostel at night and wandering streets during the day. We pray he is located again.”

She said the donations received will also help Ryan as he has no medical insurance in the country and has been out of work due to his mental health problems.

“If you are unable to help, please just pray for his safety, and my sister’s safety as she embarks on this emotional journey,” Jackie added.

“Kim and her husband Keith are both cancer survivors, she 2x , with RA, he is currently battling Multiple Myeloma and unable to make the trip with her.

“This is a very hard ask, they are very private people, and no one ever expects this to happen in their family.”

FAMILY’S PLEA

So far, Ryan’s relatives have raised around $4,000 towards the $20,000 goal on the GoFundMe page.

The U.S. Sun has reached out to the family for further comment but did not hear back.

His sister previously said she has been working with law enforcement in Spain.

“It is not like him to not check in with any of his family, and all our calls and texts are not delivering,” Kayli wrote online.

“He is about 6 foot tall and the nicest person. If anyone has come in contact recently or knows where he is, PLEASE message me or notify the US embassy.”

Ryan is described as six foot tall, weighing 185lbs with brown hair and brown eyes.

He also has a large black-and-red bird tattoo on his left arm.

Kayli, from Conroe, Texas, said she had not received replies from the friends she reached out to who were with him at the festival since his disappearance.

Ryan’s disappearance comes after it was reported former LASD deputy Albert Calibet, 58, is still missing in Greece after embarking on a solo hike on the island of Amorgos.

He reportedly left the port settlement of Aegiali on the island last Tuesday just after 7 am and hasn’t been seen since.

Search and rescue teams from Los Angeles County returned to Southern California this week, after spending more than a week in Greece searching for him.
