Love Island fans were left baffled after Joey Essex called fellow contestant Omar Nyame a “snake” – despite the fact the pair didn’t appear to have any issues with one another
Love Island fans were left scratching their heads over a mysterious beef between two Islanders, with no previous tiffs aired.
One contestant was branded “a snake” by another, despite viewers being clueless about any prior conflict. Joey Essex was overheard slamming Omar Nyame as “a snake”, which seemed to come from thin air.
This bombshell dropped just after one of the girls was seen crying over ongoing issues with an ex-beau.
The drama intensified when Harriett Blackmore threw shade at her ex, Ronnie Vint, labelling him “an actor”, following their messy love triangle with Tiffany Leighton. After Ronnie gave Harriett the elbow, she predicted his romance with Tiffany would crash and burn, insinuating he was putting on a show for the cameras.

Ronnie clapped back, dismissing Harriett and boasting that he had “he won” Tiffany as his “prize”. Harriett’s attempt to smooth things over was snubbed by Ronnie, who then told others he had nothing to say to her, reports the Mirror.
Harriett was left in tears again, fuelling speculation from viewers that she still had feelings for Ronnie. Meanwhile, Sean Stone and Omar almost came to blows over new girl Matilda Draper.

Omar was miffed after Sean swooped in and whisked Matilda away mid-chat. The next morning, Omar made a beeline to beat Sean to the punch by getting Matilda a coffee first.
He then confided in his mate about not taking kindly to Sean’s actions, insisting on mutual respect since he didn’t want any aggro. Sean owned up and promised to show Omar respect as they both vie for Matilda’s heart.
But the plot thickens as Omar seems oblivious to another islander’s beef. Sean’s pal Joey whispered to Grace Jackson that he “didn’t like snakes”, aiming at Omar.
Grace had only dropped Omar’s name as a lad she might’ve chatted up if Joey hadn’t been on the scene. Joey’s snake jibe left Grace all kinds of uncomfortable.

Yet, telly fans were left scratching their heads, clueless about the beef, with zero scenes to shed light on Joey’s beef with Omar. Confounded by it all, one viewer tweeted: “Why tf is Joey calling Omar a snake that’s crazy.”
