The posted was shared on X, formerly Twitter, by the account Discussing Film.

It showed a person’s shoulders and head, but the face was obscured by small versions of other people.

“This poster made me nauseous,” one commenter wrote.

“This looks amazing and I hope I never see it again in my life,” a second person posted.

“That’s disturbing,” a third complained.

“Oh goodie, nightmare fuel poster,” someone else added.

“Did they want to creep people out with this poster?” a fifth fan asked.

“Grossed out, frightened, intrigued. All of the above,” another commenter wrote.

MOVIE DRAMA

The film started making headlines in May, after it debuted at Cannes Film Festival.

Kinds of Kindness is directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, the same mind behind Poor Things.

The film stars 35-year-old Emma, Jesse Plemons, Margaret Qualley, Willem Dafoe, Mamoudou Athie, Joe Alywn, and Hong Chau.

It takes a group of actors and tasks them with playing different versions of the same character as they tell various stories.

Taylor Swift’s ex-boyfriend, Joe, plays Emma’s character’s ex-husband.

He spoke with Indie Wire about Kinds of Kindness at Cannes.

“There are times you get stuck or have felt that you get things right or you get things wrong,” he said.

“Particularly with Yorgos, he’s a director who feels like you’re going to go and play. Thinking about acting, and why I liked it in the first place, was just because you got to much around and play and sometimes that feeling disappears or is hard to hold onto, and nerves or anxiety or the whole industry dampens that sometimes.”

But [with] Yorgos, you just feel like you’re getting into a sandpit. It’s just fun. And Claire [Denis] has … that feeling of freedom and that you’re going on an adventure and off-grid,” he added.

Kinds of Kindness was filmed in New Orleans in 2022.

NOT SO POOR THING

Kinds of Kindness is expected to be in the same vein as Poor Things.

The film won Emma a Bafta back in February.

She beat Margot Robbie in the Best Leading Actress category and suffered a majorly awkward blunder.

When her name was announced, the actress rose from her seat and bumped the cameraman trying to capture her reaction.

Emma took the stage at the Bafta’s to give an acceptance speech.

“This is really a huge honor and since we’re in London, I’m going to start by thanking our dialect coach.”

“I really just wanna thank my mom, because she is the best person I know in the whole world,” she continued.

“She always inspires me every single day and has always made me believe this kind of crazy idea that I could do something like this.”
