According to TMZ, Timberlake was involved in a traffic violation in the early hours of Tuesday. It’s said he will appear in court today following his arrest.

A source told MailOnline : “Justin was out to dinner with friends and there were cop cars stationed outside the restaurant, like there are most nights. They look for people who are leaving after midnight who might have been drinking.”

They added: “Justin left at 12:30AM and was pulled over as soon as he left. Nobody was hurt and there was no drama at the scene.”

Timberlake’s last show of his current tour took place on June 15 when he performed in Miami. He is next set to perform in Chicago later this week before back-to-back nights at Madison Square Garden in New York next week.

It’s the latest scandal to rock the singer following reports he had cheated on his wife Jessica Biel. The claims came before the pair tied the knot 12 years ago.

He also faced backlash following Britney Spears’ explosive comments in her memoir. In it, she detailed her relationship with Timberlake and claimed that Timberlake had urged her to get an abortion, cheated on her, and used their breakup to launch his solo career.

His latest tour seemed to have been working wonders to help rebuild his reputation. The Forget Tomorrow World Tour has seen him perform across the US and he has seemingly begun to win back fans and critics alike. The tour is doing so well, that there are rumours he could extend into Australia in 2025.

It remains to be seen how his latest setback may affect his tour.
