DANCING With the Stars’ Emma Slater and Sasha Farber’s divorce is officially finalized after one year, The U.S. Sun can exclusively reveal.

Emma, 35, filed for divorce from Sasha, 40, in February 2023 after four years of marriage.

On May 16, 2024, a Los Angeles judge officially signed off on the divorce, making it official, according to court docs exclusively obtained by The U.S. Sun.

After Emma requested that the court terminate spousal support as previously agreed upon in a written agreement with her ex, the judge signed off on terminating spousal support.

“Petitioner and Respondent waive, discharge, and release the other party from any and all claims and/or obligations for the payment to either Petitioner or Respondent of spousal support, alimony, or maintenance of any nature whatsoever, both temporary and permanent, which waiver, discharge and release is hereby approved by the court,” the docs state.

However, Sasha quietly sent Emma a check for an amount that was not disclosed in court docs.

“Parties stipulate that Respondent (Sasha) has already provided Petitioner (Emma) a satisfactory equalization payment on or around February 1, 2024 in order to equalize the division of community property,” the docs state.

“The parties expressly intend for the exact amount of the equalization payment to be kept private and confidential and do not wish for the exact amount to be made public record.”

Both Emma and Sasha are responsible for their own fees incurred during the divorce process, including reasonable attorneys’, accountants’ and other experts’ fees, costs and expenses.

DIVISION OF ASSETS

Luckily for Sasha, he is able to remain in the $2.6 million Studio City home that he and Emma lived in during their marriage.

The former couple purchased the property in August 2018 for $1.6 million. It is now estimated to be worth over $2.6 million, according to property records.

Sasha is solely responsible for any and all costs and expenses associated with their former marital home, including mortgage payments, real property taxes, insurance, maintenance, repairs, capital gains, according to the judgment.

As for Emma, who has moved out of their home during the divorce, she has 30 days to sign over the title via an interspousal transfer deed.

However, Emma was awarded four different properties – one in Los Angeles, California, and three in Pennsylvania – although it is unclear if they were renting out these properties.

In addition, each party is awarded possession of their own “household furniture, furnishings, appliances, electronics, art, jewelry, antiques, art, collections, collectibles, electronics, clothes, accessories and personal effects.”

Emma, who was able to keep her 2015 Jeep Wrangler, had to waive and release her right to her ex’s dance company, Farber Dance.

Furthermore, each party is entitled to “all separate inheritance, gifts or bequests” acquired before or during their marriage or after the date of separation.

The couple married on March 25, 2018 and separated on April 1, 2022.

They cited irreconcilable differences as grounds for divorce.

DANCING FUTURE

Both Sasha and Emma were pro dancers in Season 32 of DWTS.

Although the dancers’ contracts aren’t normally renewed until weeks before the fall premiere, the divorce docs say that they are both employed by the same employer, referring to Dancing With the Stars.

“The parties stipulate that they are both similarly employed by the same employer at the time this Stipulated Judgment is entered into,” the docs state.

In addition, each party must not “interfere” with each other’s employment.

“Except as otherwise provided in this Judgment, the parties shall be free from interference, authority or control by the other and each may conduct, carry on and engage in any employment, business or trade which to her or him shall seem advisable for her or his sole and separate use and benefit without and free from any control, restraint or interference, direct or indirect, by the other party.”

Emma took part in the most recent DWTS Live Tour, while Sasha opted to not be part of it. It is unclear if he was not asked to be part of it or if he chose to focus on his dance projects.

An ex-staffer told The U.S. Sun that money might have also been part of the reason why some pros didn’t join the tour.

“I don’t know how much the dancers get paid, but I know from talking to individual dancers that there are pros on the TV show who have refused to tour at certain times because they were making better money teaching in the convention circuit,” the staffer spilled.

SPEAKING OUT

Just days before the divorce was finalized, Emma opened up about single life, despite past rumors of her dating her dance partner Mauricio Umansky as well as pal and co-star Alan Bersten.

In an interview with People, she said that she is “truly dating myself.”

“I’ve been traveling a little bit. It’s a bit of a cliché thing to say, but spending time by myself has been the most rewarding thing that I’ve done in the last few months,” she told the outlet.

“Dancing with the Stars just wrapped a tour a little over a month ago, and since then I’ve spent some really good quality time by myself, and I haven’t done that in years.

“It has really helped me so much, and I was petrified about doing that to begin with, but I forced myself to do it.”
