Katy, 39, served on the judges’ panel alongside Luke Bryan, 47, and Lionel Richie, 74, for the last time.

In an Instagram post, the Dark Horse singer shared a behind-the-scenes clip from her last installment.

During the brief clip, the American Idol judge donned a silver metallic plate over her bare chest.

The metallic plate was tied around her back with several pieces of white thread.

She paired the outfit with a full-length white skirt.

While holding a slice of pepperoni pizza in one hand, Katy shrugged her shoulders.

From the stage, she tossed the pizza slice at the cheering crowd.

The slice bounced off an individual’s hands before landing on the floor.

Katy smiled at the camera, flipped her dark hair back, and danced.

“A pizza, my heart will always be on the Idol stage,” she captioned the post.

In the comments section, critics slammed the star for being “wasteful with food.”

“This is bad. Shouldn’t throw food just like that,” one critic blasted.

“Don’t waste food. That was silly and disrespectful and childish,” another critic ranted.

“Since when is it a good look to throw messy, greasy food at a group of very nicely dressed fans? This is awful, Katy!” a third critic argued.

THE FINALE

During the finale, Katy wore a giant dress that included pictures of 168 finalists from her past seven seasons.

“I thought a good way to honor my time here would be to put the top 24 of each season on my skirt so they were all there,” she told Entertainment Tonight at the time.

As the finale continued, fans watched the Top 3 duke it out as Will Moseley, Abi Carter, and Jack Blocker competed for the winning title.

The trio was mentored by the rock legend Jon Bon Jovi, who also sang his greatest hits on the stage.
