Zach Wilson’s ex-girlfriend Abbey Gile has gotten engaged to the Denver Broncos quarterback’s former college teammate.

Washington Commanders wide receiver Dax Milne, Wilson’s old roommate at BYU and his ex-best friend, got Abbey Gile to say yes on Monday. He announced as much on Instagram, sharing photos of the two of them on a beach as he popped the age-old question.

This development comes just a week after Wilson and his current girlfriend, Nicollete Dellanno, disclosed they got engaged during a holiday in Italy.

Wilson and Gile were a couple in high school but broke up in 2022. It was later revealed that she had hooked up with Milne.

The revelation led to the WR being called a “homie hopper” on social media. However, Abbey shot back, claiming that Zach Wilson was “was sleeping with his mom’s best friend … that’s the real homie hopper.”

She subsequently deleted her Instagram account, with Milne turning off comments on his new relationship.

Zach Wilson’s Old Roommate Was A Seventh-Round Pick In 2021

Dax Milne was drafted by Washington in the seventh round of the 2021 NFL Draft, later signing a four-year rookie deal.

He made 13 appearances for the Commanders that year, registering nine receptions for 83 yards. The wideout added six catches for 13 yards and a touchdown in 2022 but spent last term sidelined with a groin injury.

Meanwhile, the New York Jets traded Zach Wilson to Denver this offseason after an underwhelming spell with the latter.

VIDEO: Cameras Caught The Incredibly Sad Reactions Of Duke Star Kyle Filipowski & His Girlfriend While Leaving The NBA Draft After Going Undrafted

While Wednesday night went well for thirty new draft picks, some were left disappointed. One such player is Duke’s, Kyle Filipowski, who had high hopes of finding his new home in the NBA. Instead, he went back empty-handed.

The 7-foot offensive center was present in the Barclays Center green room with his nearby ones waiting for his name to be called out. However, in the pool of talented players, Filipowski couldn’t make the spot. This does not mean he has missed the opportunity this year. The 20-year-old might not have made it into the first round, but the second one is still left.

One of the saddest moments from the event shared on X (formerly known as Twitter) was Filipowski hugging his girlfriend. The young athlete looked disheartened by the situation while she tried to console him.

The Blue Devils’ standout put up 16.4 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game in the 2023-2024 season. Filipowski did display his shooting skills, but that wasn’t enough for the Duke man to engage in a contract with any franchise.
