During the Indiana Fever’s closely-contested win over the Chicago Sky on Saturday afternoon, Sky guard Chennedy Carter decked Fever rookie Caitlin Clark with a blindside hit on a dead ball.

Officials ruled the hit as a dead-ball common foul.

On Sunday, the WNBA upgraded Carter’s foul to a Flagrant 1 — admitting the wrong call was made on the court.

“Chennedy Carter’s foul on Caitlin Clark from yesterday’s game has been upgraded to a Flagrant 1 after league review, a source tells ESPN,” WNBA insider Alexa Phillipou reported on X.

Carter will not receive a fine from the WNBA.

“The WNBA confirms that it has upgraded Chennedy Carter’s foul on Caitlin Clark at the end of the third quarter from an away from ball foul to a flagrant 1 after league review. Carter won’t be fined, but there is a points scale for flagrant fouls in the WNBA,” Chloe Peterson of the Indy Star reported.

After the Fever’s 71-70 win, Indiana head coach Christie Sides said the team planned to send footage of the foul to the WNBA for further review.

“I’ll probably send it into the league. That’s what we keep doing,” Sides said. “These guys are gonna start getting calls. They’ve gotta start getting calls.”

Clark and the Fever will face off against the New York Liberty on Sunday evening.

Former New York Giants star Michael Strahan is keeping up appearances and putting on a brave face amid what has to be one of the most distressing periods of his life.

Strahan’s 19-year-old daughter Isabella is currently battling cancer, and she has been keeping her followers updated as it pertains to her treatment, progress, and setbacks.

Isabella is fighting to beat medulloblastoma, a rare malignant tumor at the base of her brain. She’s undergoing chemotherapy at the moment, and it’s expectedly taking a toll on her body.

The treatment is also having an effect on her mind, as she’s revealed suffering memory loss in her latest YouTube update.

“I’m given this drug to protect my hearing, and just because I have a reaction to it, they give me Ativan. And for some reason, this happened last time too, I can’t remember a single thing about that day,” she shared.

Isabella’s video includes footage from her hospital visit, during which she was eating a sandwich that she couldn’t recall ordering.
