Social media is ripping on LeBron James after he was filmed refusing a young fan’s selfie request outside of a Paris nightclub on Saturday night.

LeBron James helped the Americans to a 98-87 win over France to claim a fifth straight gold medal at the Olympics. The 39-year-old had 14 points, six rebounds, 10 assists and two steals in the victory.

After the game, Team USA went to a luxurious Paris nightclub to celebrate. TikTok user @makaveli75paris shared a video of James exiting a car and slowly approaching the club’s entrance.

Moments after LeBron James got out of the car, a young fan came up to him and asked for a selfie. A visibly irritated James told the fan, “Stop, stop stop stop! Don’t do that,” before walking away:

After the video went viral on social media, fans destroyed James for refusing to honor the young fan’s request:

Obviously, no high-profile celebrity of James caliber will honor every single fan’s request for a selfie or autograph. It’s not realistic for someone like James to stop and interact with every single fan who approaches them.

And unfortunately for this young fan, LeBron James was understandably not in the mood to start greeting others. James wanted to get in the club safely with his wife, Savannah, and celebrate the special gold medal victory with his teammates.

James decided not to play in the 2016 or 2020 Summer Olympics, having wanted to rest up his body and keep himself in shape for NBA season.

This years’ games will most certainly be James’ last as an Olympian, but he went out on the perfect note by leading the Americans to a fifth straight gold medal. The Los Angeles Lakers superstar is now a three-time Olympic gold medalist, having also won it all at the 2008 and 2012 games.

Michigan Wolverines head football coach Sherrone Moore provided an interesting update on his team’s plans at quarterback as the regular season draws closer.

The defending national champions will look a lot different this year. Head coach Jim Harbaugh returned to the NFL after accepting the Los Angeles Chargers’ HC vacancy, and Moore was named the new head coach of the Michigan Wolverines.

Michigan will also have a new starting quarterback. Last year’s signal-caller, JJ McCarthy, declared for the 2024 NFL Draft and was taken 10th overall by the Minnesota Vikings.

Davis Warren, Jack Tuttle and Alex Orji are the three front-runners for the starting job, according to Tony Garcia of the Detroit Free Press. Tuttle attempted 17 passes in minimal action last season, completing 15 of them for 130 yards and a touchdown.

With the Aug. 31 season opener against Fresno State drawing closer, Moore stresses that he’s still taking his time deciding on the new starting QB in Ann Arbor:

“The ideal timeline is when we feel like we’ve got the guy who will help us win. There’s not a date, not a time. We will have a feel as a staff…(Offensive coordinator) Kirk Campbell is a phenomenal coach…he will make a great decision and we will be there to make it together.”
