An eye-catching video of Travis Kelce from the American Century Championship golf tournament was deleted by NBC Sports’ social media accounts following the assassination attempt on Former President Donald Trump.

The video of the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, which included a Trump-style red flag, was posted less than an hour before the Republican Presidential candidate was hit by a bullet at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania.

There is no confirmation that the video was deleted in response to the shooting, but the timing suggests that the sports media company did not want to take any risks of the video sending the wrong impression.

Swifties saved the video

However, it had already made a strong enough impression to be saved and reposted by Swifties, the online army of fans dedicated to Kelce’s girlfriend, pop star Taylor Swift.

Swift’s fans adored Kelce’s gesture toward the people who were holding up the red flag. It was printed with Swift Kelce 2024 in block white letters, similar to the style of Donald Trump’s Make America Great Again campaign materials. When the NFL star saw the flag, he kissed his fist and tapped his chest in acknowledgement.

“I think you had Travis gasping,” said a fan in response to the video on X, formerly Twitter. “It is cute because they are way more popular and Taylor could easily run the country.”

“I think cause trump got shot,” another fan said, reasoning why the video was originally deleted. “My real question is did he throw the football back”

What are Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s political views?

The political views of Kelce and Swift are bound to be a hot topic this fall, with the quick erasure of the video showing how careful they are about being associated with one side of the 2024 Presidential Election or the other.

Although Taylor Swift has not publicly endorsed a candidate in 2024, she openly pledged her support to Democratic candidate Joe Biden during the 2020 election, criticizing Donald Trump and urging her fans to get out and vote.

Kelce has also been tight-lipped during the current election cycle, but his previous endorsement with Pfizer to promote the use of COVID-19 vaccines made him a public enemy of the right. However, his views were cast in doubt in April when he liked a post on Instagram featuring Trump.

Fans want them to run for president, but even if they don’t, it’s clear that the influence of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce will help sway the 2024 Presidential Election, which became that much more divisive in light of recent events.

Minnesota Vikings Star WR Jordan Addison Arrested Near Los Angeles International Airport

The NFL offseason arrests continue to add up. And the latest involves another young, big-name wide receiver.

According to reports from ESPN, Minnesota Vikings wideout Jordan Addison was arrested late Friday night when he was found passed out behind the wheel of his white Rolls Royce. The police report states that the 22-year-old was blocking a lane on the I-105 westbound to Sepulveda Boulevard northbound.

After being discovered sleeping in the driver’s seat, Addison was investigated for driving under the influence, leading to his arrest at roughly 11:36 pm PT. He was released from prison two hours later — at 1:36 am, Sunday morning.

There’s no word yet on the results of Addison’s BAC test. This marks the second run-in with the law since the former USC Trojan was selected by the Minnesota Vikings with the 23rd pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. Last summer, he was stopped by police after getting caught driving 140 miles per hour.

The Vikings have since released the following statement: “We are aware of Jordan Addison’s arrest this past Friday and are currently gathering more information regarding the incident.”
