Americans in New York and New Jersey areas were sent scrambling this morning as the area was hit with an earthquake.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, Whitehouse Station in New Jersey was hit by an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.8 at roughly 10:28 am Eastern Time. The rumble was felt by the surrounding areas in Jersey and New York as well, including in Manhattan, where the taping for today’s episode of ESPN’s ‘First Take’ was underway.

The crew appeared to be on a break at the time, but the cameras were still rolling. And they caught the startled reaction from First Take co-host Molly Qerim, who could be seen holding onto her desk while giving a troubled look to those around her.

That look on her face says it all.

Thankfully, no one was hurt. And it appears as though Qerim was able to make light of the incident based on her willingness to post the video of her reaction.

Molly Qerim Was Making Headlines This Week

Today’s earthquake reaction isn’t the first time Molly has caused some buzz this week. Just yesterday, while talking about the women’s Final Four, she made a comment about Iowa star Caitlin Clark that appeared to rub a few people the wrong way.

Specifically, Qerim claims that if UConn’s Paige Bueckers hadn’t been injured throughout most of her college career, everyone would be talking about her instead of Clark. The debate centered around tonight’s big matchup, as Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes are set to square off against Bueckers and UConn.

UFC star Sean Strickland went on a peculiar and expletive-filled rant against NFL legend Tom Brady over the latter’s reaction to his Netflix special earlier this month.

On May 5, Netflix aired “The Roast of Tom Brady” that featured appearances from several of his celebrity friends and former teammates. Comedian Kevin Hart hosted the event that included roasts from Kim Kardashian, Jeff Ross, Nikki Glaser, Peyton Manning, Bill Belichick, Robert Kraft and Andrew Schulz.

Brady later expressed regret over signing up for the roast, noting that it affected his children. Reports also stated that Brady apologized to ex-wife Gisele Bündchen, who was brought up during the roast even though the two had apparently agreed on no disparaging remarks about the other following their divorce.

Speaking to the media on Wednesday ahead of Saturday’s UFC 302 event, Sean Strickland went on a rant against Brady for admitting his remorse about the roast. Strickland’s rant included homophobic and misogynistic language, per TMZ Sports:

“He handled that like a f***ing woman, dude. You act like a f***ing girl. You pet f***ing goats and you post g*y f***ing photos, dude. Like, man the f**k up.”

Those who follow Sean Strickland won’t be surprised by his strong language here. Strickland has a history of making homophobic remarks, and he was suspended from Twitter in 2022 over offensive comments about the LGBTQ community.

Still, there’s a better way to express your opposing views on how Tom Brady handled himself after the roast. Considering just how big Brady’s fanbase is, it’s safe to say Strickland made himself plenty more enemies ahead of his middleweight showdown with Paulo Costa.
