Following the shooting that wounded former US President Donald Trump, world leaders are speaking out against political violence from Europe to South America and Asia. Even sports figures are not shying away from discussing this severe incident.

Recently, Team USA Olympics coach Steve Kerr condemned what he called a ‘shameful’ and ‘demoralizing’ day in US history upon hearing the news of the shooting at a campaign rally.

At the beginning of his speech, the coach tried to describe how his team felt about the assassination attempt. “We’ve talked to the players about how important it is to show the best version of us as human beings to represent our country in a respectful, dignified manner. It makes you want to do that even more so, because this is really shameful for us to sit here and think about what happened and what’s going on in our country,” Steve Kerr said.

Lashing out at the incident, the 5-time champion added, “It’s such a demoralizing day for our country, and it’s yet another example of not only our political division but also gun culture. A 20-year-old with an AR-15 trying to shoot the former president. It’s hard to process everything, and it’s scary to think about where this goes because of the issues that already exist in the country. So this is a terrible day.”

However, he expressed relief at the end of his speech by saying, ”Thank God Trump wasn’t hit, but it’s just so demoralizing in every which way.”

Steve Kerr’s Options Blossom with Team USA’s Depth Alongside Steph and LeBron

Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr isn’t just leading Team USA at the Paris Olympics; he’s facing a luxurious problem. With superstars Stephen Curry and LeBron James locked into starting roles, Kerr has a wealth of legendary talent to choose from for the remaining spots.

After their first Olympic exhibition game against Canada, Coach Steve Kerr made roster changes, showcasing the team’s impressive depth.

The team’s outstanding versatility is a coach’s dream, and it gives Kerr many choices. He can choose a pace-and-space lineup, mirroring Curry’s Golden State system. Or, he can unleash LeBron’s playmaking with a more balanced approach.

Reflecting on Team USA’s talent depth after the win, Steve Kerr joked,  “I don’t think it’s ridiculous.” Regarding the second group, he said, “They were great. Despite a slow start, which was expected early on, I loved the second group. Their defense picked up the pace for us in transition.”
