Many Golden State Warriors fans have been debating for years about Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant’s relationship. When KD arrived atthe Warriors, he was the one piece that was missing and the reason they won two consecutive NBA championships. On both finals, Durant was arguably the clutch player. But then he left and the Warriors took a long time to be important in the league again. There was always a sensation that Stephen Curry wasn’t able to produce the same clutch performances in the NBA Finals as Kevin Durant did twice. But Curry became his team’s savior in the 2022 tournament. With that out ofthe way, there is a more realized version of Stephen Curry despite the remaining doubt.

Is Stephen Curry okay with Kevin Durant?

Stephen Curry was recently part of a ‘Heat Check‘ podcast with his father, Dell Curry. They were asked who was their Top 5 favorite players ever. And wouldn’t you know? Stephen Curry included Kevin Durant on his list, meaning he more than likely never had an issue with KD for leaving the Warriors. Who knows if things would be different if Curry still hadn’t won another championship with the Warriors with him taking the leading role. So we can definitely kill this “controversy” and determine Steph and Kevin are okay.

But Durant is not the only player Stephen Curry admires, he also talked about the possibility he plays alongside LeBron James. Over the summer, the Olympic Games will take place and we will probably get a treat by watching Stephen Curry and LeBron James play together in an official tournament. When asked about it on the podcast, Curry said: “That’d [a team-up between Steph and LBJ] be interesting. Maybe we’re going to get that. Not in the NBA, but uh, maybe on Team USA type vibe, before we get out of here.”

The Dallas Mavericks had the last opportunity to remain in the NBA Finals, and they made the most of it by snatching a 122-84 win in Game 4 over the Boston Celtics. Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving mostly looked after the offense. However, they needed a third player who would come through to make an impact. The player was none other than Mavs rookie Dereck Lively II. His outstanding performance earned him praise from the franchise’s superstar.

During the post-game press conference, Doncic’s face lit up when asked to share his thoughts about Lively. Praising his teammate for the double-double contribution, the Slovenian said, “I think people forget he’s a rookie doing this stuff. He’s been amazing the whole season, just watching him grow has been unbelievable.”

Friday night was the first time since mid-November last year that Lively attempted a shot from behind the 3-point arc. But when Doncic passed him the ball, the 7-foot-1 center could hold himself back and shot a marvelous bucket from the deep. He finished the night with 11 points and 12 rebounds by shooting 4-of-5 from the floor.

However, his on-court performance helped the Mavs maintain their supremacy in the game, and his off-court actions also benefitted the team.
