The Yellowstone universe is huge and has several incredible actors in prominent roles. Starring Kevin Costner (as John Dutton) as the head of the Dutton family, Yellowstone has helped elevate several actors to various degrees of success. Among such actors is Ben Affleck‘s long-time friend, Cole Hauser. 

Affleck and Hauser go way back and have collaborated on three projects, including the Oscar-winning Good Will Hunting. During an appearance on the Bill Simons Podcast, Affleck praised Hauser for his perfect portrayal of the ranch’s foreman, Rip Wheeler, and stated he is perfect in his role.

Affleck also revealed that his wife and singer-actor Jennifer Lopez is a huge fan of the series and is really drawn to the romance between Cole Hauser and the woman who plays his wife. Despite praising Hauser, Affleck stated he is disturbed by Lopez’s obsession with Yellowstone.

I’m kind of disturbed that my wife really likes Yellowstone… Jen showed me a clip of her off of Instagram, the monologue she has in the car about the ways to become rich. And then she was like, ‘I love this story of these two’… I was like, ‘Wait a minute? With Cole? With Hauser? What do you love about it?’

Rip Wheeler is in an on-again, off-again relationship with John Dutton’s only daughter, Beth Dutton. Despite being the main couple in the series, their relationship is also toxic to a certain degree, which might be why Affleck is bothered by Lopez’s admiration for Rip and Beth’s romance.
