Tension is reportedly building between Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy and owner Jerry Jones as training camp approaches.

McCarthy is entering the final season of a five-year contract he signed in 2020. Quarterback Dak Prescott and wide receiver CeeDee Lamb are also entering their contract years with the Dallas Cowboys.

The pressure is mounting on the Cowboys to break through with a deep postseason run, otherwise Jones might have no choice but to make sweeping changes for once. Despite plenty of regular season success since Prescott’s rookie 2016 year, Dallas has just two playoff wins to show for it (the 2018 and 2022 Wild Card Rounds).

According to a report from Tyler Dunne of Go Long, McCarthy feels the longtime Cowboys owner is undermining him. On top of that, a former team personnel member told Dunne that McCarthy is starting to “getting fed up with” Jones:

“[McCarthy’s] doing it the best he can,” a former Cowboys personnel man noted. “Some of the people I’ve talked to have said that he’s getting fed up with it a little bit. It’s hard. I feel bad for Dak. I think Dak’s a really good quarterback who is capable of taking a team to the Super Bowl. He’s got to overcome a lot of things.”

After the Dallas Cowboys were eliminated by the Green Bay Packers in the Wild Card Round, Jones promised that his team would take an” all-in” approach to the offseason.

But Jones has yet to make a significant free agency signing or trade while losing key contributors like Tony Pollard, Tyron Smith, Stephon Gilmore, Tyler Biadasz, Dorance Armstrong and Dante Fowler.

So it’s easy to understand why McCarthy would be frustrated with Jones. The latter hasn’t put his team in the best possible position to succeed, and the lack of an extension for Prescott and Lamb is an unnecessary distraction this team doesn’t need.

It’s Now Or Never For This Dallas Cowboys Core

Even though Jerry Jones rarely makes sweeping changes (he held onto Jason Garrett as head coach for 10 years), he’ll have no excuses if this team falls short in the postseason again.

Dallas hasn’t played in the NFC Championship Game since 1995, the last year they won the Super Bowl. So if that streak continues in 2024, expect some significant adjustments on Jones’ end.

Since he arrived in the NBA, Mirjam Poterbin, the mother of Dallas Mavericks player Luka Doncic, has been well-known in the industry.

At first, people would always notice her at his games because of her stylish attire and attractive appearance.

This week, Mirjam Poterbin was spotted attending the Dallas Mavericks’ matchup against the Boston Celtics in NBA Finals Game Two. The Mavs are trying to get back into the series after losing in blowout fashion in Game One.

Luka Doncic may be hurt in this game, but his mom is trending on social media as he is currently playing right now.

For every NBA player, the number displayed on the back of their jersey holds a special meaning. Doncic has proudly displayed the Number ’77’ on the back of his Dallas Mavericks Jersey.
