Caitlin Clark, the star player for the Indiana Fever in the WNBA, had a challenging debut, facing significant criticism and becoming a target for other players. Despite quickly gaining a large number of fans, her rising fame also made her a target of jealousy from other players.

The WNBA player’s behavior towards Clark has been a topic of debate among analysts following a recent game against the Chicago Sky. During the third quarter of the game, Chennedy Carter hit her shoulder, causing Clark to fall to the ground. However, after the incident, a former WNBA player stood in support of Clark.

Rachel DeMita, a former WNBA player and social media influencer, recently posted a video on her Instagram account expressing support for Clark and stating that she believes the WNBA is becoming embarrassing. She also mentioned that many WNBA players do not like Clark.

“I wanted to hold my judgment on this but the WNBA is getting downright embarrassing. Not only for the league but also for women as a whole. You’re not gonna gaslight me into thinking that the media is the one that created this narrative that a lot of players don’t like Caitlin Clark. At this point, it is clear as day,” DeMita said

DeMita credits Clark for a bump in ticket prices and viewership surge

DeMita further praised Clark’s popularity and mentioned that Clark is the main reason for the increase in ticket prices and viewership of the WNBA games. If she were to get hurt for the rest of the season, all of those gains would be lost.

“Do we really think that, God forbid, she gets hurt for the rest of the season that ticket sales and viewership are gonna be the same? No chance,” DeMita added.

In addition to DeMita’s remark, some other WNBA players have also joined in praising Clark. Recently, University of Miami women’s basketball players Haley and Hanna Cavinder discussed Caitlin Clark’s impact on women’s basketball. Cavinder said that Clark is a once-in-a-lifetime player.

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice has addressed his offseason legal issues for the first time.

In March, Rashee Rice was involved in a six-car accident in Dallas, Texas that left four people injured. Two people were hospitalized to have their injuries treated but released soon afterward.

According to authorities, Rice was traveling 119 MPH in a Lamborghini that he had leased before the crash. The second-year wide receiver was arrested and hit with eight charges that included six counts of collision causing bodily injury.

While talking to reporters on Saturday, Rashee Rice emphasized that he’s learned a lot and promises to become more “mature” following the incident, via ESPN:

“I’ve learned so much from that,” he said. “All I can do is mature and continue to grow from that. This is a step in a better direction for me…Accidents and stuff like that happen, but all you can do is move forward and walk around being the same person, try to be positive so that everybody can feel your love and your great energy.”

Police are still investigating allegations from a photographer that he was assaulted by Rice at a Dallas nightclub last month. The photographer ultimately decided not to press charges against him.
