LSU star gymnast Olivia Dunne just took a break from her regular schedule to spend time with her boyfriend, MLB rookie sensation Paul Skenes, by the Allegheny River in Pittsburgh.
The LSU Tigers National Champion and Skenes made the most of their downtime while in Pittsburgh.
Skenes captured quite the moment when Dunne appeared to be trying to catch a fish in the backwaters using a fishing rod as she sported a huge smile on her face. He posted the candid photo on his Instagram story.
Skenes is enjoying a much-needed day off after the sensational rookie pitcher dominated his outing against the Cincinnati Reds at PNC Park on Monday.
He registered his fourth win of the 2024 campaign, pitching six innings and allowing one run with one walk and seven strikeouts.
Olivia Dunne Admits How Nervous She Gets Watching Paul Skenes Perform On The Mound
Olivia Dunne is known for posting pictures and videos for millions of adoring fans and performing floor exercises in front of thousands of fans and doesn’t even flinch.
However, it is nothing for Dunne when compared to the nerves she gets watching her boyfriend, star Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes, on the mound.
In a video posted by Bleacher Report earlier this month, the LSU gymnast admitted she gets more nervous when Skenes pitches than when she’s competing.
“I get more nervous watching Paul because it’s just different when you’re not doing it, and you’re not in control,” Dunne said. “But I am confident in his abilities, and I kinda channel those nerves into excitement for him.”
Much like Taylor Swift in the NFL, Dunne has been a frequent presence when Skenes has pitched for the Pirates.
