Former Mississippi State outfielder Brylie St. Clair might be the newest social media phenomenon.
Brylie St. Clair, who concluded her Bulldogs career this spring, decided to take her talents elsewhere when she signed a contract to play professional softball with the Texas Monarchs, a new team in the Women’s Pro Fastpitch league.
Mississippi State softball coach Samantha Ricketts had nothing but good things to say about St. Clair, “We are extremely proud of Brylie continuing the tradition of Bulldog greats playing professionally.”
“She will be remembered for giving so much to this program and helping to build for the future. I am excited that she now gets the chance to do the same for our game and help grow the sport of softball on the professional stage with WPF and the Texas Monarchs,” she said per hailstate.com.
In the meantime, Brylie St. Clair is going viral after she took to her Instagram and posted a picture of herself rocking the Texas Monarch’s new uniform for her rookie season.
It did not take long for the post to go viral, as it currently has over 22,000 likes and over 100 comments.
Brylie St. Clair Made Her Name With The Mississippi State Softball Team
Brylie St. Clair was a four-time First Team All-State outfielder from Sand Rock High School, where she led the team to multiple championships before she joined the Bulldogs.
In her first year with the Bulldogs, she played in 22 games and batted .417 (5-for-12) with 14 runs scored, per hailstate.com.
Her sophomore year saw her play in more games, as she played in 50 games, making 20 starts. Brylie St. Clair batted .211 (12-for-57) on the year. She had a .353 slugging percentage, drove in four RBIs, and stole three bases.
Her junior year saw her start all 64 games playing center field, and her numbers increased as she batted .264 (47-for-178) on the year. She was fourth on the team in runs (28) and hits and second on the team in stolen bases (6).
In 2023, St. Clair played in 53 contests and batted .239 (33-for-138) on the year.
