NBA superstar Steph Curry has been known to set trends and Sabrina Ionescu is the latest star to show her support for his latest movement. Curry is famous for his night-night celebration, which he drops after drilling a late shot to seal a game. The 36-year-old guard adapted his legendary celebration for the French audience and Ionescu is all for it.

The Golden State Warriors guard was spotted wearing a “nuit nuit” hoodie after the USA’s gold medal victory over France. It is a direct translation of night-night from English and the snazzy blue hoodies are already an instant hit with basketball fans around the globe.

In a recent post on his Instagram account, Curry was seen sporting the custom hoodie while holding up his gold medal. The caption on the post read:

“Yall get this Gold Medal Content! #nuitnuit.”

WNBA star Sabrina Ionescu, who just won the gold medal with the USA women’s team, hyped up Curry’s new look and showed some support with a response to his post.

“Nuit Nuit,” Sabrina Ionescu said.

Ionesco and Curry know each other well. The two athletes faced off in the first-ever NBA versus WNBA 3-point contest at the All-Star Weekend in February. Curry edged the contest after some scintalling shooting, but the two have teased the idea of returning for a rematch next season.

Steph Curry was outstanding during the 98-87 victory over France to secure the gold medal. The sharpshooting guard drilled four three-pointers in the last three minutes to dash any hopes of a late French comeback. He finished with 24 points, five assists and two steals.

After his final 3 of the night, Curry bid farewell to the crowd with his signature nuit nuit celebration.

This was Sabrina Ionescu’s first appearance at the Olympics and the 26-year-old was not going to miss out on a chance at a gold medal.

Ionescu was a key figure in the rotation for coach Cheryl Reeve and played a major role early in the tournament. She averaged 7.66 points in the group stage and was outstanding distributing the ball to her teammates, averaging 5.0 assists per game.

The New York Liberty star saw limited minutes in the knockout round but did play a role in the finals. She contributed three critical assists in the second half that helped trigger a USA comeback.

Overall, Ionescu averaged 5.5 points, 1.8 rebounds, 3.3 assists and shot 42.0% from the field over six games to earn her first-ever Olympic gold medal.
