Patrick Mahomes throwing a Ball
The Kansas City Chiefs are coming off back-to-back Super Bowl titles, but their offense may be even more explosive in 2024.

Patrick Mahomes throwing a Ball

“I think this year we’re going to have a team that’s built to throw the ball deep,” quarterback Patrick Mahomes said during a Thursday appearance on the Pat McAfee Show. “Coach [Andy] Reid’s been preaching it all offseason, we’re going to get back to throwing the deep ball. I have to be smart when we do that, but at the same time I want to be that explosive offense that we’ve seen in the past.”

Wide receiver was a position of concern for Kansas City last season, and there are question marks about whether Rashee Rice will be suspended this season because of his involvement in a multi-car crash on the highway in March.

Yet the Chiefs addressed the position in multiple ways this offseason, which could leave them better equipped to take more of those chances on deep balls.

The AFC West team signed Marquise “Hollywood” Brown, giving Mahomes another weapon on the outside. Brown has a reception of at least 41 yards in each of his five seasons in the league, including an 83-yard one when he was a rookie and a 71-yard one in his second year.

As if that wasn’t enough, the Chiefs drafted Xavier Worthy out of Texas in the first round.

All Worthy did was set the record with a 4.21-second 40-yard dash during the NFL Scouting Combine in March, underscoring how difficult it will be for cornerbacks to keep up with him in single coverage.

“No One Likes Him, He’s Getting Booed”- Chandler Parsons Takes Shots at Kristaps Porzingis

During a recent episode of “Run It Back” on Fanduel TV, Chandler Parsons, a former NBA player, criticized Boston Celtics forward Kristaps Porzingis and said that no one likes Porzingis in Dallas. Parsons claimed that Luka Doncic, the star player of the Dallas Mavericks, “did not like playing” with the Celtics’ star.

“It will be way more, you know, violent towards Kyrie Irving in Boston, no doubt, but don’t get twisted. They do not like Porzingis in Dallas. Luka did not like playing with him. There is an actual beef there where it’s going to be every time he touches the ball, he’s getting booed.” Parsons said.

He further mentioned that Dallas fans excel at showing appreciation for players and holding grudges against those who betrayed the team.

“Dallas, for whatever reason, those fans, they’re proud. Like, if you’re hurt, if you’re not playing, if you’re not doing what you were doing the years before you got to the Mavs, they don’t like you.” Parsons added.

Parsons “Guarantees” Kristaps Porzingis Will Get Booed

Parsons further criticized Porzingis and stated that he guarantees that during the NBA finals, the crowd will boo the Celtics forward every time he touches the ball.

Joe Mazzulla recently provided an update on Porzingis’ injury status and availability, stating that “he went through everything the team did today.”
