Jennifer Lopez is still riding high after turning 54, which, incidentally, she celebrated by dancing on a table top to the dulcet sounds of her own music. It just doesn’t get better than that. A month on, she’s still on flying form, with the star taking to Instagram to celebrate her bare-faced natural beauty in a new GRWM video. “No filter. ALL. ME. #ThisIsMeNow at 54, glowing and happy,” she wrote in the caption on the clip, which naturally finds her using her own brand beauty line.

Filmed in front of a bathroom mirror, while dressed in a particularly fetching silk monogrammed robe, Ms Lopez can be seen massaging her JLo Glow serum into her face as she calls “bullshit” on those who accuse her of not using her own skincare brand, JLo Beauty. “There are no filters or retouching on this video,” she says. “This is me bare-faced with no make-up. I just had a birthday and I feel better than ever.” As I think we can all agree, she looks it too—something the star puts down to having worn SPF every day since her early twenties, facials with Toska Husted, and the healing properties of olive oil.

J Lo is not the first celebrity to glorify a make-up-free moment: she follows in the footsteps of Salma Hayek, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Tracee Ellis Ross. A perfect antidote to the avalanche of heavily photoshopped and filtered images that usually do the rounds on social media, more of this please.
