The couple shared the joyous news during their vacation in Italy, with Dellanno geotagging her post at the picturesque Amalfi Coast.

Wilson, 24, expressed his deep affection for Dellanno in his post, saying, “To the love of my life, I never truly understood what love was until I met you. You’re not just my partner, but my best friend and my everything. I can’t wait to make a lifetime of memories with you, Nic I love you.”

Dellanno also shared her excitement and love for Wilson, writing, “Zach, you are the best thing that has ever happened to me. Everyday I admire your strength and I’m so incredibly proud of you. I’m so in love with you and can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives together. I love you.”

The engagement announcement was met with overwhelming support, including a heartfelt message from Wilson’s mother, Lisa Wilson, who took to Instagram Stories to celebrate.

“Love this beauty with all my [heart] couldn’t have hand picked a better partner for my son. Congrats @nicolettedellanno and @zachwilson,” she wrote, sharing a photo of the newly engaged couple.

Wilson and Dellanno were first linked two years ago after attending a Yankees game together, shortly after Wilson and his ex-girlfriend, Abbey Gile, parted ways.

Wilson expected to be a backup with Denver

The engagement marks a significant personal milestone for Wilson, who has had an eventful offseason.

After three challenging seasons with the Jets, where he was initially expected to learn under veteran Aaron Rodgers, Wilson was traded to the Broncos in April.

His tenure with the Jets concluded with 6,293 passing yards, 23 touchdowns, and 25 interceptions over 34 games.

Now with the Broncos, Wilson is gearing up to compete for the starting quarterback position under the guidance of head coach Sean Payton.

He will be vying for the role against Jarrett Stidham and first-round pick Bo Nix.

Despite a rocky performance during organized team activities in May, Wilson remains optimistic about his fresh start in Denver.

“Obviously, there’s bittersweet moments in everything,” Wilson said following his trade to Denver.

“I was grateful for my experiences there and the guys. I miss the guys out there and everything too. But at the same time, a fresh start is good. I’m excited to attack a new challenge.”

The Broncos will kick off their season on September 8th in Seattle, with a notable game against Wilson’s former team, the Jets, scheduled for September 29th at MetLife Stadium.
