Many NFL teams struggling to win football games were frothing at the mouth over Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., son of the NFL legend and one who looks like he’s on the path to being among the great receivers of his era.

The Arizona Cardinals ultimately stopped the frothing by selecting him in the 2024 draft.

Many years from now, another young Harrison may be receiving his own hype.

According to Marvin Harrison Jr., his younger brother – 14-year-old Jett – might be more advanced than he was at the same age.

The Arizona Cardinals wideout made this clear during a sit-down interview with Buckeye Huddle to give an initial “scouting report” on his younger brother.

“He’s great, he’s great,” Marvin said about his 14-year-old brother. “He’s definitely more talented than I ever was at that age. He started early with the routes and everything from my dad, so I’m super excited to see how he comes along – it’s going to be very scary to see how he progresses.”

When it comes to where he might play, Harrison suggested the Buckeyes have a great chance at landing the legacy recruit.

“He sees me here [at Ohio State], and naturally, he wants to follow in my footsteps,” Harrison said.

Marvin Harrison Jr. Has Issues With Fanatics

Former Ohio State Buckeyes receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. was selected No. 4 overall by the Arizona Cardinals.

Marvin Harrison Jr. struck a $1 million-plus contract with Fanatics, a sports memorabilia company, allowing them to use his name and likeness on trading cards and other products, according to reports from Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.

Harrison decided not to sign his NFLPA licensing agreement after being selected. He and Fanatics are currently embroiled in a legal dispute over that contract dispute.

Harrison Jr. has not yet signed his NFLPA license deal with the league. As a result, his name cannot be used on official fan jerseys, souvenirs, or collectibles. This lawsuit follows this development.

Kevin Byard Reveals His Conversations With Caleb Williams

Safety Kevin Byard has explained how he encouraged the rookie quarterback following his poor spell.

“I said something to him at the end of practice: Keep going, we’re gonna keep making you better,” Byard said, per NBC Sports Chicago. “Not necessarily saying that he had a terrible day, but like days like this are gonna make you better. So that’s our job, and like I said, obviously, just the first three days of practice, he’s done a lot of positive things. He’s made some really great throws. Just coming in with that swag as a rookie quarterback, he doesn’t seem flustered by anything, so that’s exciting to see.”

Byard added that Williams and the offense had beaten the defense earlier in the week and he wants his QB to remain consistent no matter who wins in practice.

“Sometimes it’s going to be back and forth, and that’s how the season is going to be, week to week,” he remarked. “Every week is not going to be great. Some weeks, we’re going to have to do a two-minute drill; he’s going to have to go win us a game. Some weeks, we’re going to blow people out. Sometimes it’s not going to be like that.

“So I would just kind of tell him, like, hey, days like this, just keep fighting, keep going, watch the film, get better. And that’s for everyone on the team. Everything is not going to be peaches and cream. You know what I’m saying? But like I like his confidence and he kind of just looked me straight in the eye and said ‘of course I will,’ and that was good to see.”

Caleb Williams would do well not to get his head down. He’s clearly one of the most talented quarterbacks to come out of college in recent years and will get better.

He just has to keep working.
