Nothing seems to stand in favor of the Los Angeles Sparks as their WNBA season might have come to an early end today. With already a poor record in the Western Conference, the Sparks were at the edge of another season heading towards failure. And now, their rookie Cameron Brink quit the show early today, after conceding a devastating fall in the very first quarter. Los Angeles Lakers icon Magic Johnson, who has been ardently following the Sparks and Brink especially as a co-owner, shared a few words, followed by Chicago star Angel Reese’s sweet note.
Johnson wrote on X, “Sending prayers up for Cameron Brink right now. Hoping that this is not a serious injury”, although it looks like one. Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese tweeted, “Prayers for my sweet girl!” after Brink’s fall became the talk of the internet.
Sending prayers up for Cameron Brink right now. Hoping that this is not a serious injury! 🙏🏾

The LA Sparks rookie is yet to be evaluated, but coach Kurt Miller shared a small update on her injury, which has made it even more concerning. Moreover, the injury is also being predicted to be season-ending considering the rookie was finding it hard to place weight on her leg.
Coach Kurt Miller reveal about Cameron Brink’s injury?
Miller shared in the postgame interview, “Cam has a knee injury and will be evaluated tomorrow“. Knee injuries are always a matter of concern. And looking at the way Brink fell and limped to the sideline, one cannot help but get reminded about Klay Thompson’s injury in the 2018 Finals.
Thompson suffered an ACL tear around five years ago. It took him a year to return, including an entire summer of rehab. After Brink’s full surfaced online, on lookers are concerned that this could be an ACL tear too. Brink has been having a wonderful rookie season so far.
She is averaging 8.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.8 assists. She holds the second place for most blocks this season, with an average of 2.3, being tied with Aja Wilson. This productive season has not helped the Sparks move up the table, but it has kept them alive, giving them a chance to make it to the playoffs. Anyhow, with this injury, the Sparks may have suffered a huge blow.
