LEGENDARY 80s rockers are set to perform a huge show at Glasgow’s OVO Hydro.

Australasian band Crowded House, fronted by Neil Finn, will take to the stage as part of their Gravity Stairs tour.

The news follows the release of their acclaimed eighth studio album of the same name.

The band last visited Glasgow in June 2022 on their Dreamers Are Waiting tour.

They will also stop by Manchester, London, Brighton, Bournemouth and Birmingham, before then continuing across Europe.

Announcing the news on social media, the band wrote: “The Gravity Stairs Tour continues.

“New UK and Europe dates added for October 2024! Tickets on sale Friday 21 June at 9am local time, except for Dublin at 10am.

“See all dates and ticket links at the Crowded House website.”

Scottish fans flocked to the comments to react to the announcement.

One wrote: “I missed the last show in Glasgow so hopefully I’ll make this one!”

Another said: “Yes, a Glasgow date at last!”

A third added: “Brilliant news, I’ll be getting tickets for Glasgow. Can’t wait.”

The band will visit the Hydro on Wednesday, October 9.

A description of the tour reads: “Multi-platinum, Iconic rock band Crowded House announce Gravity Stairs UK and Europe tour kicking off this October.

“Tour news follows the release of Crowded Houses’ acclaimed 8th studio album Gravity Stairs, their first release since 2021’s Dreamers Are Waiting.

“Produced by the band with Steven Schram, the album shows Crowded House in its current incarnation — Finn, Nick Seymour, Mitchell Froom, and Finn’s sons Elroy and Liam — as sharp as ever, feeling musically adventurous, and still capable of reaching the staggering highs that have made them an international favorite.

Tickets go on sale on Friday at 9am via Ticketmaster.

It comes days after thousands of Smashing Pumpkins and Weezer fans were left fuming after getting stuck in huge queues outside the OVO Hydro AFTER the gig started.
