LeBron smirking. Angel Reese taunting Caitlin Clark

LeBron James has backed Angel Reese after she mocked Caitlin Clark with the “you can’t see me” gesture in the final of the NCAA Women’s tournament.

LSU star forward Angel Reese reached the mountain top of women’s college basketball on Sunday when her team beat Iowa in the national championship game, but it came with criticism after she taunted Hawkeyes guard Caitlin Clark multiple times in the game’s final moments.

The four-time NBA champion quote-tweeted a tweet that read, “Angel Reese to all the haters after winning the national championship.”

James showed nothing but support for the LSU star.

“FACTS!!!! Love to see it,” James said on Twitter.

After the game, Reese defended her actions and came after critics.

“I don’t fit in the box that y’all want me to be in,” Reese said. “I’m too hood, I’m too ghetto, y’all told me that all year. But when other people do it, y’all don’t say nothing. So this was for the girls that look like me.”

In the meantime, Hawkeyes guard Caitlin Clark guard said she didn’t see Reese make either gesture in the moment.

The Los Angeles Lakers made headlines in the 2024 NBA Draft by selecting Dalton Knecht with the No. 17 pick. However, the real headline came when they used their second and final pick to draft Bronny James, the son of NBA superstar LeBron James. This move sparked a wave of criticism, leading to a strong defense from ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Wojnarowski didn’t hold back in response to accusations of nepotism around Bronny.

“I don’t want to hear these charges—people talking about nepotism. The NBA is full of nepotism: the ownership level, front offices, coaching. I don’t want to hear it all of a sudden because Bronny James’ father plays for the Lakers. It is rampant in this league,” he said.

Bronny was expected to follow in his father’s footsteps from a young age. Despite his skill, Bronny has faced accusations of nepotism, particularly since his days at USC. Critics argue that his father’s influence has given him undue advantages.

Nevertheless, as a player, he has shown considerable promise and skill on the court, earning his spot in the NBA through hard work and dedication. Joining the Lakers allows him to continue his development and provides the unique opportunity to play alongside his father.
