Larsa Pippen is the estranged wife of NBA Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen. Her nationality is American, and her ethnicity is Lebanese-Syrian descent. She considers herself Assyrian. Larsa’s age is currently 46 years old.

Larsa has had many exciting careers in her lifetime, such as reality TV star, social media influencer, and Instagram model. She also is an entrepreneur. She owns a luxury jewelry brand called Larsa Marie and a fitness subscription service called Larsa Pippen Fitness.

She was born Larsa Younan in Chicago, Illinois on July 6, 1974. Larsa spent her entire childhood in Chicago, and she went to elementary, middle, and high school in the city.

Her mother is from Lebanon, and her father is from Syria. Larsa grew up with two brothers, Samuel Younan and Ninos Younan, and one sister, Bella Youkhana. Larsa has a good relationship with her family and posts pictures with her parents and siblings on her social media accounts.

Teenage and Young Adult Years

After graduating from high school, Larsa moved two-and-a-half hours south to attend the University of Illinois. While studying at U of I, she joined the Piven Theater Workshop and studied under theatre star Byrne Piven. She graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science.

Following her graduation, Larsa was a freelance writer and did some modeling and acting jobs on the side. As a freelance writer, she wrote articles about health, fitness, and fashion lifestyle. Larsa’s big break was when she debuted on the Bravo series ‘The Real Housewives of Miami.’

After leaving ‘The Real Housewives of Miami,’ Scottie Pippen’s wife became good friends with Kim Kardashian. She even appeared on E!’s ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians.’ These TV appearances helped to grow her social media following and sky-rocketed her to fame.

Larsa (then last name Younan) met Scottie Pippen in Chicago in 1995. Scottie was playing basketball for the Chicago Bulls at the time. The couple is very private about how they met and the beginning of their relationship. But former NBA player and old friend, John Salley, recalls the day Scottie and Larsa met.

Salley was one of the first people Scottie talked to about meeting Larsa. Scottie told Salley, “I just met the baddest girl in the world, I’m marrying this one.” Shortly after telling Salley this, Scottie and Larsa began dating in 1995 and would tie the knot just two years later.

Becoming Scottie Pippen’s Wife & Starting a Family

 

Larsa officially became Scottie Pippen’s wife on July 20, 1997, at the First United Methodist Temple in Chicago. On that day, she officially became Larsa Pippen. Larsa and Scottie have four children together: Scotty Jr, Sophia, Preston, and Justin.

Scotty Jr is the oldest of the four, having been born in 2000. Preston is the second-oldest, born in 2002, with Justin following after in 2005. Larsa and Scottie finally had their one and only girl, Sophia, in 2008.

Scotty Jr seems to have gotten his dad’s athletic genes and plays point guard on the basketball team for the Vanderbilt Commodores. Sophia, on the other hand, inherited her mother’s love for performing. Sophia starred on the Juniors season of Dancing with the Stars in 2018.

Scottie And Larsa Pippen’s Trials and Tribulations

Scottie Pippen and his wife have gone through some rough patches in the last few years. It doesn’t help that both Scottie and Larsa are celebrities, so their splits are made public. In October of 2016, Scottie filed for divorce after finding out that Larsa told police he is verbally aggressive towards her. The divorce was never finalized, however, as the couple agreed to work out their differences and stay together.

Just two years later, it was Larsa that then filed for divorce. Larsa filed in 2018 after her alleged affair with the famous rapper Future became popular speculation in the media. While their divorce was never legally finalized, Larsa and Scottie have decided to split up and are no longer together.
