Russell and Ivaniukas found their way to each other’s company through a common friend and have been together since 2020. They had their only child, Riley Jonas Russell, two years later and announced this year in March that the pair is soon expecting a daughter.

The mother-son duo have been spotted multiple times at the courtside cheering for daddy Russell at the Crypto.com arena. With DLo’s end time in the Los Angeles franchise approaching quickly, there might be a possibility that they have to visit some other arena in the following season.

D’Angelo Russell Might Leave Lakers

Ever since his comeback to the purple and gold, D’Angelo Russell has been the center of attention for his potential trade rumors. As his $36 million contract is nearing its end, there are speculations about possible suitors that could acquire the 28-year-old if he doesn’t fit into the Lakers roster.

According to Eric Pincus of the Bleacher Report, the Brooklyn Nets are in search of a guard, but there is no certainty that the Brooklyn franchise would approach Russell for the task.

Despite raising hopes during his return, the former Nets guard couldn’t stand out with his performance in the entire season, but he showed some glimpses of his talent, averaging 18 points, 6.3 assists, and 3.1 rebounds in his 76 appearances. However, in the playoffs when he couldn’t deliver what was expected of him, a lot of questions were raised about his future in LA.

For now, all eyes will remain on the summer trade to see if the Lakers will hold on to the All-Star guard after their disappointing exit. If Russell uses his player option to extract a better deal or find a new home for himself, it is entirely a matter to be monitored in the summer.

Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks have advanced to the NBA Finals after defeating the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Western Conference Finals of the playoffs. Doncic, the star player of the Mavericks, delivered impressive performances throughout the series. Due to his skills and dominance in the WCF series, he was awarded the MVP trophy. Not only did he achieve the trophy, but he also matched the playoff scoring record of the legendary Michael Jordan. According to recent reports by Courtside Buzz, Doncic joined Jordan in averaging 30+ PPG in their playoff careers. The Slovenian basketball player has averaged 31.1 PPG in 45 playoff games.

“The ONLY two players in NBA history to average 30+ PPG in their playoff career are Michael Jordan – 33.4 PPG (179 games played) and Luka Doncic – 31.1 PPG (45 games played). Luka is already a legend.”

Doncic is on track to match the records set by LeBron James and Nikola Jokic

The 25-year-old Mavericks player has already achieved many accomplishments that most NBA players haven’t attained throughout their careers. Doncic and Kyrie Irving have been dominant throughout the season, consistently delivering strong performances for the team. Doncic averaged 33.9 points, 9.8 assists, and 9.2 rebounds in 70 games this season. During the 2024 playoffs, he averaged 28.8 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 8.8 assists in 17 games. According to the NBA Officials, If he maintains this playoff average, he will join LeBron James and Nikola Jokic as the third player to average at least 28 points, eight assists, and eight rebounds in at least 15 playoff games.

Doncic was never behind in dominating with his skills and words. During the 3rd quarter of game 5, the Slovenian Mavs player engaged in trash-talk with a Timberwolves fan who was trying to distract him by showing a poster of Doncic crying and implying that he was always arguing with the referees.
