It appears that the torch has been passed from Tom Brady to Drake Maye.

Brady, the future Hall of Fame quarterback who guided the Patriots to six Super Bowl victories, recently met the new quarterback from New England as well as a few other rookie class members at a Fanatics-hosted meet-up.

Michael Rubin, CEO of Fanatics, said that Brady gave the rookies “invaluable advice and knowledge”.

Tom Brady even posed with Drake Maye, which has gone viral on social media.

Fans took to the comments and quotes to respond:

Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams and Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels were also in attendance at the breakfast with seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady and 24-time Grammy Award-winning rapper Jay-Z.

For Maye, the event was particularly meaningful because he is replacing Mac Jones, who is currently with the Jacksonville Jaguars, as the starting quarterback for New England. When Maye takes over as the team’s starting quarterback, he will have enormous shoes to fill, given the Patriots’ struggles to establish consistency behind center since Tom Brady left in 2020 and won a Super Bowl as a member of the Tampa Bay Bucs.

Brady also posted photos from the event on Instagram, writing in the caption that he will “always cherish the opportunity to talk to these young men who are about to start a monumental chapter of their lives.”

“I would never be in the place I am today without the incredible people and mentors that came into my life at the right time and at the right place,” Brady continued. “There are too many to mention but I have been blessed in so many ways. I feel we should always use our experiences to help others and “pay it forward” to see the next generation grow as well. So they can live their dreams and maximize their potential.”

Tom Brady Set To Start First Season As NFL Broadcaster And May Call A Patriots Game

Tom Brady signed a hefty 10-year, $375 million contract with FOX in 2022, and he will be starting his first NFL broadcasting season with the network.

The Patriots, who selected Drake Maye third overall in the 2024 NFL Draft, are hoping that Maye can help New England win its first postseason game since Brady left Foxboro. Maye is currently starting his first season with the team.

It would be great if Brady was the color commentator for one of Maye’s first games in a Patriots uniform.

For the biggest games of the week, FOX will probably field its best broadcast combination, which consists of quarterback Brady and play-by-play commentator Kevin Burkhardt. This usually means steering clear of weak clubs like New England, which finished 4-13 the previous season and is favored in none of the games in 2024.
