Erin Andrews Reveals The One Moment During The 2023 Season That “Ruined” Her For Three-Straight Days (VIDEO)
Erin Andrews had a long 2023 season but there one particular moment that stood out.
The Fox Sports sideline reporter has opened up about the emotional side of her job when discussing being vulnerable in the industry with her colleague Charissa Thompson on a new episode of their Calm Down podcast.
Both stated they get emotional when feeling like they have disappointed someone in their professional life.
That is when Andrews talked about one particular moment with a player ruined her day for three-straight days. It started with a player thinking he was going to be interviewed by her, but that moment never happened.
“If it was something that involved a team or a player, you and I are so emotional and invested in our relationships with that.
“We’ve talked about it. If there was ever a situation and we felt so bad… like I had a situation where a certain player was coming up behind me and I didn’t know.
“He thought I was going to interview him and we had to get off air.
“It ruined my day for three straight days.
“I ended up having to call him and I was just like, I need you to know you’re like one of my favorite players and I was doing that because we had to get off air, not because I didn’t want to talk to you.”
Andrews did not reveal the player she was talking about.
She also said that the working environment at Fox NFL feels “very much [like] a family.”
In 2012, Andrews moved to Fox Sports from ESPN, where she continued her work as a sports reporter and host. She has been involved in Fox’s NFL and MLB coverage, as well as major events like the Super Bowl.
Andrews remains on Fox’s top NFL team, alongside Kevin Burkhardt and Greg Olsen, and sometime in the future, Tom Brady when he finally starts his broadcasting career after signing a massive deal well before he would hang up his cleats for the second and final time.
She and Thompson have been hosting the Calm Down podcast since 2021.

A former NFL first overall pick was so desperate for a chance to revive his career that he offered to sign with the Dallas Cowboys for free.
Under owner Jerry Jones, the Dallas Cowboys have been one of football’s best drafting organizations. Dak Prescott, Micah Parsons, CeeDee Lamb, Zack Martin, Trevon Diggs, DaRon Bland, and Jake Ferguson are just several examples of how well Jones has performed at the draft table.
So it’s easy to understand why one former first-round pick, nearly a decade after he was drafted, eyed Dallas as a landing spot to revive his career.
The ML Football X/Twitter account relayed a story about JaMarcus Russell once asking the Dallas Cowboys to sign him back in 2016 so that he could revive his career and erase the “draft bust” label.
Per Sports Illustrated, the first overall pick by the Oakland Raiders in 2007 offered to play in Dallas for free during the 2016 season.
