MyKayla Skinner requests Simone Biles to ask her followers to stop sending death threats to her and her family. The whole fiasco started with Skinner questioning Team USA’s “talent” and “work ethic”.

In her previous video, she said that no one other than Biles has the talent and the drive that was earlier seen in the days. Soon after her post, Biles clapped back saying, “Not everyone needs a mic and a platform.”

MyKayla Skinner later apologized saying she didn’t mean to hurt any Team USA gymnasts by her comments, and it was all a misunderstanding. While fans thought the case was already closed, Simone Biles led Team USA women’s gymnastics to win gold at the Paris Olympics.

She posted an Instagram image captioning, “Lack of talent, lazy, Olympic champions.” Many took it as a clap back to MyKayla Skinner as many fans and pundits commented and recalled the July incident.

Things started escalating when Biles later posted how Skinner blocked her on social media. Apparently, after this incident, Skinner not only received hate comments from the fans, but also threats to her safety, husband, and child.

She said she was surprised to see Simone Biles’ post after they celebrated gold victory. This started a new series of “cyberbullying” which she and her family find hard to cope with.

MyKayla Skinner sends direct message to Simone Biles

MyKayla Skinner posted a long message on social media stating how anyone could disagree with what she said in the previous post, but things went far when it threatened the safety of her family and friends. She further mentioned how she had apologized not only on social media for her comments but also sent personal notes to all Team USA gymnastics participants.

However, among them, only Simone Biles reached out to her saying “she was proud of me”, only to be surprised when this topic got brought up once again. She expressed she was “heartbroken over it” and hopes it all stops now.

Simone's latest post and others that followed it fueled another wave of hateful comments. DMs, articles and emails. Hate that includes death threats to me, my family and even my agent. My family and my friends don't deserve to be caught in a crossfire here. They've done nothing.

MyKayla Skinner on X.

Skinner directly requested her to ask her followers to stop sending hateful comments and to stop bringing out the topic again after she had apologized. She hopes to “move on” from this situation and just enjoy and cheer for the team in the Paris  Olympics Games.
