Denver Broncos Hall of Fame running back Terrell Davis never thought he would see himself being placed in handcuffs, but that is exactly what happened over the weekend after an incident that happened during a commercial plane flight.

Davis says federal agents unjustly handcuffed him after lightly tapping on a flight attendant’s arm during a United Airlines flight as he broke his silence over the matter.

In a Monday morning Instagram post, Davis wrote that he was on a flight from Denver to John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California, on Saturday with his wife and three children.

It started with beverage service when Terrell Davis stated his son politely requested a cup of ice. Due to the noise on the plane, the attendant did not hear him, so Davis took it upon himself to tap the attendant on the arm to get his attention.

The United staffer did not take to being touched and shouted, “Don’t hit me!” according to Davis’ post as he proceeded to hurry to the front of the plane.

Once the flight eventually landed, Terrell Davis said the pilot asked the passengers to remain seated as “six FBI and law enforcement agents” boarded the plane and placed the former running back in handcuffs.

He was then removed from the aircraft.

“I was — and remain — humiliated, embarrassed, powerless and angry,” Davis wrote.

Once the questioning by the agents began, the Hall of Fame running back said he would receive an apology as they determined the flight attendant was inaccurate in his accusations.

Despite that apology, he stated he has yet to hear from United Airlines as he is demanding an investigation into the matter.

“Please see my statement regarding the recent humiliating, disturbing, and traumatizing incident in front of our children aboard @united. Please contact @sgghlaw for any inquiries,” Davis wrote as the caption on Instagram.
