STUNTMAN Tony McFarr, best known as the double for Chris Pratt in some of the actor’s biggest blockbusters, has died at 47.

Tony worked with Chris across several films, including the Jurassic World series and Guardians of the Galaxy.

Tony’s mother, Donna, announced his “unexpected and sudden” death to TMZ.

The stuntman died on Monday at his home in Orlando, Florida.

The McFarr family said they do not know the exact circumstances of his death.

Toxicology tests are being conducted.

The Orange County Medical Examiner told the outlet that an official cause is still pending.

In 2011, Tony began his stunt career in an episode on the police procedural drama Bones.

His stunt work includes Homeland, Teen Wolf, Captain America: Civil War, and The Accountant.

‘LOVE YOU BUDDY!’

In June 2016, Chris shared a behind-the-scenes photo from that last day of filming Guardians of the Galaxy.

In the Instagram snapshot, the pair dressed in their Marvel costumes and wore the same red leather jacket.

Their faces are covered by the Star-Lord mask.

“Here’s me and my stunt-man Tony McFarr (also Tommy Harper stunt coordinator and our first AD Lars Winther) on set,” Chris captioned the post.

“Been working with Tony since Jurassic World.”

“Love you buddy! Happy wrap!” he closed.

In September 2020, Tony went on The LAN Cave YouTube show about performing the stunts in the Marvel superhero movies.

Sometimes you sit around. Sometimes you do nasty stunts. Obviously when I was doubling for [Chris] Pratt, I was doing all the stunts and everything like that.

“My time with [Marvel] on Captain America: Civil War I worked only a couple of weeks,” he said during the nearly 50-minute interview.

“Sometimes, you know there’s a couple days of work.

“Sometimes you don’t do anything. Sometimes you sit around. Sometimes you do nasty stunts.

“Obviously when I was doubling for Pratt, I was doing all the stunts and everything like that.
