Her sense of style is not far behind her skill with the basketball. On Wednesday, Brink surprised everyone with an all-white outfit: tennis shoes, socks, a pleated miniskirt, and a sporty tank top.

Fans flocked to social media to shower the player with praise. However, it was not entirely clear why she had chosen a totally tennis-inspired outfit for a basketball game. Until now.

Coco Gauff by Cameron Brink

On Wednesday morning, the WNBA released a video where the Sparks players explain their game-night outfits. In the clip, you can see Erica Wheeler and NaLyssa Smith wearing more casual clothes with bright accessories that fit perfectly with their personalities.

Brink, for her part, revealed: “I’m wearing my little New Balance tennis set. I want to be like Coco.” The latest in reference to the American tennis player Coco Gauff, champion of the US Open 2023 and current number three in the WTA rankings.

The interviewer ends up so impressed by Brink’s ensemble that she says out loud what the vast majority of her fans think: that the player is quite the fashion icon.

Brink and Gauff

Brink and the Sparks have not had the best start to the season, with a record of two wins and four losses. However, the team seems to be starting to hit its stride and may soon climb out of last place in the Eastern Conference.

Gauff, for her part, finds herself in the third round of the French Open with two emphatic victories over Julia Avdeeva and Tamara Zidansek, in that order. Now, the American awaits the winner between the Chinese Wang Yafan and the Ukrainian Dayana Yastremska.
