Indiana Fever rookie guard Caitlin Clark had a very unexpected reaction to making WNBA history on Saturday.

Clark wanted much, much less cheering for her achievement.

Speaking with reporters after her team’s huge 83-78 victory over the New York Liberty at home, Clark shared that after she became the first WNBA rookie to ever record a triple-double in a game, she tried to get the cheering crowd to quiet down so one of her teammates could shoot a free throw.

“Well, I was trying to get the crowd to be quiet because I think it was Aliyah who was shooting a free throw, somebody was shooting a free throw,” Clark said with a smile, according to ClutchPoints reporter Matthew Byrne. “I was like, I appreciate it, but [I was] just trying to get them to be quiet.”

With a laugh, she recounted how her teammates were a bit puzzled by the Fever crowd’s wild reaction when she grabbed the rebound that secured her historic triple-double. The context wasn’t immediately clear to them, which made the moment even more delightful.

Clark, ever the class act, delivered a heartfelt message to fans after making WNBA history and defeating the Liberty on the same day. It’s amusing to hear her describe how she was trying to process the moment in real-time.

After all, you never know when you might achieve history and what might follow.

The “Hawk Tuah” Girl, Hailey Welch, has confirmed receiving an offer from Playboy Magazine on the back of her newfound internet fame.

Welch immediately went viral after appearing in a random street interview and describing her most irresistible bedroom move, coining the term “Hawk Tuah.”

Since then, she’s become one of the most talked-about persons on the internet and has undertaken a few ventures seeking to parlay the moment into profit, which is already the case given her line of merch.

Hailey has also been propositioned by Playboy but turned down their offer, while she’s confirmed she’s not on OF and won’t be launching an account there either.

She revealed as much during an Instagram Q&A session (H/T Thespun.com).

“That is true,” she said regarding the Playboy offer. “They reached out to my friend Chelsea wanting to include us in some of their stuff, and we turned it down, so that’s true.”
