Caitlin Clark has been in the news more so than usual as of late, although it’s not entirely for the reasons that she would hope. The aggressiveness that Clark has had to deal with from her WNBA rivals has drawn a lot of criticism on their part and sparked a lot of conversation.

Many are outraged by the hard fouls that Clark has endured through the first stretch of her pro career, and they believe she’s being targeted. Before the Indiana Fever vs. Washington Mystics game on Friday, Clark handled questions about it with class.h class.

Caitlin Clark Dismisses Need for Public Apology from Chennedy Carter

Caitlin Clark doesn’t need an apology from WNBA rivals

Thank you for watching

Clark was initially asked if she thought she was owed an apology from Chennedy Carter, the Chicago Sky player who fouled her off-the-ball in a recent game, which triggered the whole discourse.

Clark simply stated “no”, before going on to compliment Carter on how well she’s been playing this season. She mentioned a couple of times that “it’s just basketball”.

The former Iowa star clearly isn’t too bothered by it all, which might surprise some. But at the end of the day, she’s a gamer and just wants to play the sport she loves.

“Same As Jordan vs LeBron” – Ex-UFC Heavyweight on Islam Makhachev vs. Jon Jones P4P Debate

The UFC 302 just concluded as Islam Makhachev defended his Lightweight strap for the third time against veteran Dustin Poirier. Islam performed an impressive performance and continued his reign as the Lightweight king and the pound-for-pound number-one fighter worldwide.

His position as the pound-for-pound king did not sit well with the perennial UFC champion Jon Jones. Even Dana White believed that the position belonged to the reigning Heavyweight champion of the world. A former UFC Heavyweight gave his two cents on the matter.

Islam Makhachev and Jon Jones compared to Basketball legends

Jon Jones, the reigning Heavyweight champion, is in second place on the pound-for-pound list in the UFC. Meanwhile, Islam Makhachev dominates as the number one fighter there. The fans of the Dagestani will be ecstatic at the rankings, but the American fans will want Jon to overtake Islam. Chael Sonnen, on his show, made rather exciting comparisons. Sonnen said,

Its same as Jordan vs Lebron. People talk about six rings vs five. Once upon a time. You’re comparing resumes.

Sonnen made it clear that the pound for debate is as contentious as the debate of who the better player is between Michael Jordan and LeBron James. Chael clarified that we need to look at the absolute minute details of their careers, like how many rounds the duo lost and who they have lost to. Jones last fought last year after returning from a fur year hiatus and finished Cyril Gane in the first round, becoming the Heavyweight champion.

Islam Makhachev has been the much more active fighter in the octagon, having finished all of his last eight opponents. Makhachev is on a killer win streak in the cage and is just two short of matching Anderson Silva’s legendary win streak. Jon Jones might not have lost a fight in over a decade, but the man has been in many controversies, and lately, injuries have kept him away from the cage.
