Joe Burrow has focused on diet and weightlifting during the offseason in an attempt to bulk up and gain strength.

Joe Burrow, the quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals, had to miss several months of action due to a wrist injury that ruined his 2023 season. However, he’s also been growing stronger and bigger, which is another very substantial development.

Burrow revealed that he has spent the past several months focusing on weight training and nutrition. As a result, he is “definitely bigger” this offseason.

“I’m eating more, I’m more dialed as far as nutrition and food schedule and eating when I need to, so that’s been a big area of emphasis for me, and I’ve seen the results,” Burrow said, via Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com.

“We’re bigger. Definitely bigger. We’ll see where I’m at at the end of the offseason. I feel good about where my body is right now. I’m going to continue to get stronger and bigger throughout the offseason and just play it by ear, depending on how I feel,” the former No. 1 pick continued.

“Like I said, I’m in a good spot right now. I’m really strong, bigger than I was. We’re going to continue to eat right, lift, and go through my routine and see where I’m at.”

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is throwing again, as evidenced by a video the team shared on social media six months after he suffered a wrist injury that forced him to miss most of the 2023 season.

In 2023, Burrow missed the season’s last seven games, so the Bengals had to rely on backup quarterback Jake Browning to get them to stay in the playoff conversation before the wheels fell off. Burrow had wrist surgery late in November of last year.

Over the course of 10 games, Burrow concluded the 2023 season with 15 touchdowns, six interceptions, and a 66.8 completion percentage.

Burrow is officially returning to football activities ahead of the commencement of team-organized team activities on May 28. All indications point to the Pro Bowl quarterback maintaining a positive trajectory for the start of the 2024 campaign.

The Bengals go as far as Joe Burrow can take them.

With him healthy, the team went to back-to-back AFC Championship games, with one Super Bowl appearance.

The Bengals defeated the Chiefs one year to get to the big game and then lost the following season. We may be on track to seeing these two teams clash again in the postseason.
