Fans can collect a physical copy of the entire series of Young Sheldon after the show wrapped up its seven-season run.
Every episode of Young Sheldon will soon be bundled together in one DVD box set. For the collectors who’ve been nabbing each individual season, the seventh and final season will also be getting a standalone release.
Per Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, Young Sheldon: The Complete Series and Young Sheldon: The Final Season will both be released on DVD on Sept. 24, 2024. For those who don’t want the physical copies, every episode of the series is now available on digital. The complete series box set will include all 141 episodes across seven seasons and it comes with a brand-new special feature. The box art for the full series and seventh season DVDs can be viewed below.
The special feature that’s included with both releases is the featurette called “Sheldon’s Secret Origins and Easter Eggs.” As it sounds, this bonus will see the cast and producers of Young Sheldon reflecting on the show’s journey. They’ll also be revealing some of their favorite Easter eggs while discussing the Cooper family origins that have been “hidden along the way.”
The official description of the series reads, “Young Sheldon centers on Sheldon Cooper, a once-in-a-generation mind capable of advanced mathematics and science, which isn’t always helpful in a land where church and football are king. And while the vulnerable, gifted, and somewhat naïve Sheldon deals with the world, his very normal family must find a way to deal with him. For 12 years on The Big Bang Theory, audiences came to know the iconic, eccentric, and extraordinary Sheldon Cooper. This single-camera, half-hour comedy takes viewers through his childhood, as he embarks on his innocent, awkward, and hopeful journey toward the man he will become.”
The Big Bang Theory actor Jim Parsons returned as the voice of adult Sheldon, serving as narrator, but he also physically reprised the role in the series finale of Young Sheldon. The show also stars Iain Armitage, Zoe Perry, Lance Barber, Annie Potts, Montana Jordan, Raegan Revord, and Emily Osment. It is executive produced by Chuck Lorre, Steven Molaro, Steve Holland, Jim Parsons, Todd Spiewak, and Nick Bakay.
Young Sheldon’s Story Isn’t Fully Finished
While Sheldon Cooper won’t be the focus, the story will be further explored in a sequel series. Montana Jordan and Emily Osment are returning as Georgie and Mandy for a new show called Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, picking up after the events of the Young Sheldon finale. The new series arrives in the fall.
Young Sheldon is hitting DVD on Sept. 24, 2024.
