Detroit Lions star running back Jahmyr Gibbs has social media in stitches after going on Instagram live following the ultimate dental procedure everyone dreads.
Jahmyr Gibbs paid a visit to the dentist to have his wisdom teeth removed. Folks who have already gone through the procedure understand that it’s not exactly the most pleasant experience, especially the aftermath when your face swells up.
But Gibbs decided to have fun with the experience by going on Instagram Live to show how he was doing post-surgery. Though he’s clearly in some discomfort, Gibbs manages to keep his audience entertained while icing his face:

Arguably the most stunning pick of the 2023 NFL Draft was when the Lions took Gibbs at No. 12 overall. For starters, they had already signed a standout running back in David Montgomery.
Jahmyr Gibbs wasn’t projected to go that high, and running backs rarely go inside the top-20 anymore. But Gibbs proved the doubters wrong by racking up 1,261 yards of offense and 11 total touchdowns, helping the Lions to a) their first division title in 30 years b) their first playoff win since 1991 and c) their first NFC Championship game since 1991.
Gibbs continued his all-world play in the postseason, tallying 238 yards of offense and three touchdowns in Detroit’s three playoff games.
Jahmyr Gibbs & Lions Open 2024 Season vs. Rams
That game will be featured on NBC’s “Sunday Night Football” program that also aired their January playoff meeting. Both the Rams and Lions figure to be among the top contenders in the NFC again, so this matchup could carry significant playoff implications.
Detroit Lions HC Dan Campbell Had The Best Response Ever To A Question About 2024 Being “Super Bowl Or Bust”

Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell had a savvy response to a question about the team’s Super Bowl expectations for 2024.
Dan Campbell and general manager Brad Holmes are entering their fourth season together at the helm in Detroit. Last season, they helped the Lions to the franchise’s first division title in 30 years, as well as their first playoff victory and NFC Championship Game appearance since the 1991 season.
The Lions’ magical season ended with a heartbreaking loss to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game. Detroit coughed up a 17-point lead in a 34-31 loss, falling just short of the franchise’s first Super Bowl appearance.
Campbell was asked by reporters today if 2024 is “Super Bowl or bust” for the Lions. That’s where the head coach delivered a typical epic Dan Campbell response.
“I don’t see bust. I see Super Bowl,” Campbell said, per Colton Pouncy of The Athletic.

Well, that’s one way of expressing confidence in your team.
Campbell and the Lions will open their 2024 season against old friend Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams at Ford Field on Sept. 8 in a “Sunday Night Football” clash. This will be a rematch from last season’s Wild Card Round contest that the Lions won 24-23.
Dan Campbell & Lions Have A Wide-Open Super Bowl Window
After last year’s run to the NFC Championship Game, it’s safe to say that Lions fans won’t consider 2024 a success unless their team reaches the big dance.
Even if the Lions fall short of the Super Bowl in 2024, there is no need for fans to panic. This team has a wide-open championship window, with practically most of the core players in their early-to-mid 20s.
Jared Goff turns 30 in October, but that’s relatively young for a quarterback in this day and age. Aidan Hutchinson (24 in August), Jahmyr Gibbs (22), Brian Branch (22), Amon-Ra St. Brown (25 in October) and Sam LaPorta (23) are in the early stages of their primes, too. So yes, Detroit is built up nicely for long-term success, regardless of what happens in 2024.
